  1. very very strange.........

soprod has and had never the 6497-2 with 21.600bph in their program ( production list )

few minutes ago i've got this message from the chief manager department direct from soprod swizzerland.

i don't know from who is this movement, but never from soprod.

i get for myself the power reserve soprod9040/eta2892-a2 from soprod.

and i can order each movement model from soprod.

i have a very good contact there.

    rolli

which 6497 version is working in the PAM 360???

    anyone has a picture????

Maybe you guys should produce a special "RWG" version of this.... limited to 300 pieces (hand selected customers)...

i will supply the 1:1 movement from SOPROD :winkiss:

sale price $1.000 .... second hand value $3.000 (if you can get it :whistling: )

  2. all asia movements have the same problem.

they aren't oiled and not adjusted.

the daylight maker bought this movement from shanghai factory ( movement maker ) and that's it.

    no extra service or adjustment.

and shanghai factory produced the movements without special service and standards like we know it from the swiss factories or eta.

it is always luck when a movement works.

normally it is a chewing gum machine movement, when you buy a chewing gum it falls out with.

    rolli

Have you contacted the dealer, and if so what did they say?

I ask because a couple of other members have reported they've been told by a certain dealer that because they approved the Q.C. pics it is not their problem. How you can justify not replacing a bad movement because of some pics, is beyond me though :whistling:

  3. ask davidsen for a new crown-guard with a lever with a longer contact-nose.

    rolli

thanks very much for all the input and ideas. This isn't a problem that i can't live with for a while. i will probably do as The Zigmeister said, try to find a CG lever that has a little longer "foot" and see if it can be trimmed down to make a tighter fit. now the question is, where Can I find one?

    Thanks again

  4. the oscillating pinion for the chrono function must be adjusted.

this is an important for the first inspection.

last year i had the same problem with one of a swiss 7750.

my watchmaker immediately saw it needs to be adjusted and the error was corrected.

    rolli

I hand winded the movement a few times, shaked the watch in my hand to move the rotor but it didnt work...Pushing the Start/Stop pusher didn't work neither...

  5. start the start / stop pusher and see what happens.

when the movemnt runs again let me know.

    rolli

Just to say the A7753 from my PAM250 just died..;I wore the watch 3 to 5 times, and it doesn't tickle anymore...

I'm not sure about the reliability of these new movements....

  6. another option is to punch the lever-contact-nose with a punch machine and a hit with a hammer.

the material of the lever-nose it's also spread towards to the front.

and so you get contact again to the crown.

my watchmaker did it with success.

    rolli

The dilema with all of these aftermarket crowns is the same, which is more important to you:

    1. the correct placement of the crown next to the case

    2. the lever touching the crown

My choice is always no. 1. The crown should always be installed so that it in the correct location next to the case. Once that's done, you have to adapt the CG lever to the crown's location.

If you decide to move the crown farther out from the case (by installing a longer stem, not by simply adding o'rings to the crown and placing the keyless works under stress) you have created a problem. The crown has lost it's support, the case tube no longer holds the sides of the crown secure, and everytime you close the CG lever, you are placing stress on the keyless works.

One option is to cut down the CG feet. But that is risky also. If your original crown left you with a small nub of a lever, cutting the CG feet down and moving the complete CG towards the case, not only moves the lever closer to the crown, it reduces the gap in which the crown can move, and switch from winding to time setting. Again, you have caused another fault (nothing is fixable in isolation). Now you CG lever touches the crown, but you can't pull the crown out far enough to set the time, the CG gap is too small...

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

    Shortcuts don't work.

The only true solution is to start with a CG lever that is too long, and custom fit and trim it to fit the crown, which you placed in the correct location to start with.

Doing anything else will and does introduce futher faults and issues, I know, I have done and experienced them all.

    :)

    Hi!

I have sent my watch to Domenico to be serviced. I sent it from Sweden to Germany which is within the EU.

I have not gotten any kind of confirmation from Domenico about him picking it up, and when i check the tracking from Sweden it comes up with arriving in Germany on the 22nd of sept. and no more info.

I have tried sending numerous e-mails to domenico, but i have received no reply...

I am getting worried now... :(

Do you know how to trace a package in Germany? It's sent as registered air-mail.

I have written to Domenico in German. There may have been some minor grammatical errors, but nothing big enough to make my questions difficult to answer...

Any and all help would be much appreciated! :)

    Thank you!

  8. i don't know whether our pvd color would match the breitling blacksteel color.

for the pam cases we have special adjustments and blasting procedures which influence the color,

but this is made for the prev, prea, a+b serie

but in the near future we will offer the dlc coating and i think this would be more the color result for the blacksteel color.

    rolli

Beautiful work rolli. :) Do you pvd bracelets? I would like to put a bracelet on a Super Avenger Black steel. I know the finish wont match 100% but do you think It would be close? How do you think It would match up to the "Black Steel" case, thanks :drinks:

  9. if i have understood it right, then in the new daylights is a modified asia 7750 with features of the eta 7753.

but the diameter of the datewheel is for the 7750, that's why the daylight dial-date-window sits in a position for a 7750 datewheel,

the swiss eta 7753 has a datewheel which has a slightly larger diameter.

that means, no gen swiss eta 7753 can be installed.

only a gen swiss 7750 with parts of the daylight asia modified 7750.

  10. not A,B,C reps.

when a maker construct a watch, they give to other single part and case manufacturer the order, based on tech drawings or based with the single part or and case to make the tech drawings

to manufacture the parts. sometimes one manufacturer or several manufacturer.

the maker build everything together, but when some parts like crown-guard and lever are not perfect, they use it for B or C-Stock and pricewise cheaper.

hublot comes from a maker, he is watchmaker, he makes only A-Stock, that's why he is always very expensive.

but many of other brands come from the noob factory, so also most of the pams.

the daylight is a partnership project with a factory. believe me, nothing goes in a trash. everything is good for money. that is chinese mentality.

    rolli

Ok, I'm not sure I understand completely, so correct me if I'm off base:

    1) Some models are made by small shops, independent watchmakers and are sometimes commissioned by dealers and this is why we have A, B & C reps?

    2) The daylight maker is a professional with a geniune article to copy from but they just decided to introduce a defect on purpose?

  11. all maker of this watches have substandard goods.

the maker are not only big factories, mostly they are small watchmaker with some unskilled worker.

they make in their own direction the watches or in connection as project with the here well known dealer.

and believe me all the maker have A - B - C Stock and different prices.

and the maker here for the daylight models is no amateur, he is a profis.

he has the genuine daylight models as saple on his desk / bench. all the single parts were the 1:1 sample for the copy.

    rolli

    Rolli,

I really don't think there are different quality tears for this model. The fact that this is the only universal area of concern on these models with even the best examples still exhibiting the issue still but to a lesser degree, and meanwhile everything else on the watch is nearly 100% perfect; makes me think that the factory simply dropped the ball on the CG/crown fitment.
