    Rep Geek

It seems as the forum is down since yesterday.
  2. Modded, reshaped VN midcase and CB, movement is a rebuilt ETA CO7.111 to remove the date function and drilled mainplate in order to keep the dialfeets untouched. Rest is gen.
  3. Im using tapa if that makes any difference
  4. Looks like its up and running again. Atleast for me.
  5. As i mentioned shipping the watch back is the last thing i would do. Its just too risky. You could take a look at the modders here on the forum or leave it in a drawyer as a reminder to steer away from complicated reps. Generally rep movements are full of dirt and often lacking proper oil when leaving the factory. Add in more complications than a date function and you have a recipe for failure. They will make sure that the watch is in working order when they ship and that it arrives, thats about it. If you intend to use it and expecting it to work properly i recommend sending it to a modder for a full teardown, cleaning and oiling the movement.
  6. 1030 clone would be awesome. Happy new year!
  7. So you joined the forum to post this on new year? Im afraid there will always be a chance of a watch malfunctioning when shipped world wide. I recommend that you find a watchmaker who will fix it close by since shipping the watch back will probably mean that the watch will be siezed by customs.
  8. My head was already spinning around how i would build this one and you just handed me the answer. Thanks for sharing this valuable information.
  9. I like the idea. But whats up with the lugholes?
  10. Yes. As long as the three links in the middle are the same width as the opening on the 20mm endlinks it should work.
  11. Help me clarify. By 19mm endlinks you mean the last link on the bracelet? And you want to attach the 19mm bracelet to a 20mm endlink? In that case yes its doable if the center links on the last link on the bracelet has the same width as the opening in the endlink. It will look somewhat odd but if you are happy with it then go for it.
  12. Agree with the posts above. If you have invested in genuine dial and movement then genuine hands is a small cost. Why run a marathon just to quit a few meters from the finish line?
  13. I missed this thread and had no idea you gone through all this to get the build done. But you did and you did it right. No one is happier than me that you did. You got a watch that has sentimental value to me and now i got one from you. Take a look at the last two digits in the serial nr. If you havent noticed yet you will be in for a treat my friend. Maby one day the watches will find their way back again. But for now lets enjoy them as is! Btw. Do i have to say that i love the amazing patina on this one? The matching color on the tritium is almost to good to be true! Thanks!
  14. Wear it in good health bud! Tulip* [emoji6]
