  1. @automatico I think the Omega hands you are thinking of is the skywalk we X33. I might even have a set here somewhere that I can measure. I’ll check.
  2. David I am saddened to hear of Bobs passing. I joined this community 12 years ago and your dad was one of the first to chime in and help me with projects and advice. He was such a great guy. He will be missed.
  3. LP - Le Prelet made dials for Tudor Founded in 1895 by Kossuth Calame, MOM Le Prélet specializes in the decoration of enamel dials in La Chaux-de-Fonds. 'Le Prélet' is a location in the village of Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane where the company established its headquarters in 1918.
  4. Looks like a gen service dial for a 390 powered 7928.
  5. Brother, now your have crossed over the just showing off! Although I will change my opinion if you will send me red box number 2…
  6. Bad idea bro, you are going to need those children to take care of you in your old age…
  7. Glad you kept the snowflake! [emoji23][mention=14711]automatico[/mention] this plus a dark lord dial and one of your 1030’s would be fantastico! This is my contribution to show and tell…
  8. I’m in too! I could use a 1030 for my big crown build… [emoji6] Nice treasure chest @automatico
  9. Looks great! Keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. They come up (but not that often) on eBay and the gen forums. There is a 9411 dial on eBay right now for $2499. Gen spec movement would not be bad to find for it as it uses an ETA 2784.
  11. That’s better….I will still take it for the first price….
  12. [mention=32]Nanuq[/mention] Brother have you checked the value on that gen dial and hands lately? I believe I would withdraw that offer for the time being. Dials alone are bringing 2-3k and are impossible to find! No offense to the buyer meant... Maybe that wasn't an offer but there are many of us that would give you your money back. I would feel bad about it though. (For a minute)?
  13. Yep, somebody want to send me a gold watch for retirement? [emoji6][emoji106] Sent from my SM-T587P using Tapatalk
  14. My brotha from the northern tundra! Looks like we are within a couple years of each other! Beautiful territory in that last shot Nanuq.
  15. So, I'm guessing you guys were born after 1984 since it has a Biccherini dial?[emoji6] My birth year goes back far enough that it makes a birth year watch quite expensive! But it looks like this... Congratulations to@capre great catch here. Enjoy!
  16. Great finish Holo! What an amazing build. Love that Domi made a plan to keep the dial feet intact.
  17. Stunningly great work! Especially like... "2) Drilled holes for gen dial feet in the mainplate > sturdy and keeps the dials value." I have done this on 2842 movements and they can be bought as no date and already have single position time setting keyless. Works out great! Holo, this will be a keeper for sure! 18. [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] Awesome!!!
  19. Hologramet I have fought similar battles. Not loosing a beauty of a gen movement but others. Dials that are supposed to be gen showing up as rep, running “great condition” movements arriving stuck and non repairable, long delays waiting for the correct parts. Etc.... I agree with the others, definitely stick with it. Just sit it aside and let some time pass. After all it is a birth year build right? It took you quite a while to reach this age and good things take time and perseverance. In the end you will have something very special to you that you would never think of parting out. Just my 2 cents BTW, love the wall clock!
  20. Excellent information@Automatico as usual a full on watch class when you post. Thanks for the education!
  21. Here is a pic of the Red. (Entirely high end rep parts) As you can see it needs a gen 702 also. If you run into someone who has a few let me know.
  22. Absolutely, you will save a bunch. Just the gen 93150 bracelet has became ridiculously high now. I have seen very well done aged bracelets using rep parts. I did the same with my red dial build and am very happy with it. The case on it is a DW and will take gen 1570 but it doesent bother me to have 2824 power. I have the white with gen movement and 1 is enough. Keep posting as you change it. It’s your art, keep it coming.
