  1. Wtf? I had tracking info on the 23rd, and still no pics! I got an email today, saying he's going to 'try to rush the factory'?
  2. When did you place your order? I received a tracking number eleven days ago, two days after payment, and still no QC pics.
  3. I placed an order with Andrew (Trusty Time) about two weeks ago. Received an email on June 23rd saying I'd receive QC pics in 2-4 days. Followed up six days later, asking for an update, and was told there's a crackdown on the dealers and sellers? Well over two weeks now- has this happened to anyone else?
  4. Did I read correctly that you have three of them? Want to sell me one?
  5. Anybody know where I can find one of these? Preferably red? I've emailed a couple of dealers, and they don't have any.
  6. That's funny. For mine, I paid 1/3 to 1/4 what I would have paid for a rep, it has flawless fit and finish, water resistant to 200M, fantastic retail packaging, a proper warranty, tells perfect time, and I can buy it on Amazon.com. That's sub-par quality how, exactly?
  7. After heaps of trouble with a few reps, I bought one of the Speedway 18389s to wear while other watches were being serviced, waiting on parts, etc. Very similar to a Daytona, but in a 45mm size, and I love it. 200m WR, quartz, so it's always accurate, great fit and finish, and @ $100 brand new in a really nice presentation box. Get compliments on it almost daily. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRYTBCI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00
  8. Check the Helium escape valve on the side of the watch. On the gen, it's perfectly centred. On the rep, it's closer to the crystal/face of the watch.
  9. What you need is a circular polarizing filter. They're designed to eliminate glare and reflections. They will give you more saturated colors too.
  10. I'm looking for a Breitling SuperOcean Abyss 44mm, non chrono, preferably with the red second hand. Anybody have these in stock?
  11. The difference in color is clearly just white balance, but the hour markers at 10:00 are very poorly aligned also. The font for the Breitling, 1884, and date wheel all look too thick.
  12. What about time specs of -7s/day? Amp is 270 degrees, and BE is 0.1ms. Workable, or ask for another? Everything else is perfect. This is the third one though- clasp and pearl on first two were no good.
  13. Completely unrelated to this watch, but there has been a very significant price incease on many watches on his site. The Avenger Seawolf II as an example, went from $378 to $486, pretty much overnight.
  14. So, I managed to smack my watch against something, and scratched the AR coating. You could only see it under very specific lighting conditions, but it was the only thing I could see after it happened, and it was driving me crazy. I tried everything to get the rest of the coating off, figured it would at least be uniform that way. I tried rubbing compounds, polishes, pastes, by hand, and even a Dremel with a felt wheel. That sh*t is really on there, and I'm surprised it even got scratched in the first place. I had started to look for a replacement gen crystal, and figured I'd try more severe measures, figuring it could do no harm- so I took 1000 grit sandpaper, and wet-sanded the crystal. The AR coating is all gone, there are zero blemishes on the crystal, and it looks absolutely fantastic! You no longer get the purple hue in reflections, but there is minimal if any glare, and the surface looks flawless. I will take pics and post later during the day when there is better light.
