So, just to be clear: The pictures in post #8 above are of a genuine 360, which is owned by your dealer. The factory will attempt to replicate this, and will have samples ready in about a month.
Correct?
To borrow another picture from Francisco, here is the complete transfer train, from 9 to 6, on the Portu. The first wheel is not visible, because it is under the plate, and the last wheel was missing from the first photo, but is show below.
Sure Mike,
The transfer gears of the Daytona and Portu movemements are actually quite different. I'll use a couple of borrowed pictures to illustrate.
Here are the gears of the Daytona (thin top plate has been removed, to reveal the transfer gears sitting on the bottom plate).
And here is the same view on the Portu movement.
As you can see, there are quite a few less gears on the Portu, which equates to less drag on the movement.
What is actually required to sell on this board? Does the member need to have his/her own section?
It seems that there are several "unofficial" vendors who do regular business, while there are other cases of people being banned for self-promotion.
There really isn't a super rep of this model, because of the unusual material combination of the gen.
The best that I've seen was on another board, where avitt applied a matte finish to the solid ceramic rep. Don't know how that was done, but it looked very good.
If you're concerned about accuracy, go for the stainless models. The problem with the rep PVD models is that they are brushed, and the genuine carbon models are matte.
If the bezel isn't held by screws, then it is simply press fit. It can be lifted with a case knife. Once the bezel is off, the dial and movement can be removed from the front.
To remove the inner tachy ring, you'll need to press out the crystal. Replacing the crystal without damaging the ring can be difficult, so be careful.
Good idea, but I don't think that the gen is brushed. All of the gen pictures that I've seen, including those I've shown above, show a glossier area around the numbers, with a matte finish everywhere else. (The insert area of the PVD and SS reps appears to be brushed.)
That's too bad. It means that it will be next to impossible to PVD or DLC coat this watch, and make it look like the gen (which has a different color and texture in the area of the bezel markers, simulating an insert). It also means that it will be more difficult to align the pointer at 12.
Here's another picture of a gen (from eBay):
