    Explorer 5500

Thanks all, I'm glad you like it. Even if you are used to beefier watches, as I am, its charme and uderstatement are, IMHO, unique. @LHOOK You're right, dial isn't perfect; It's Yuki's, and deciding between this and the newer was hard. But I didn't want to modify it too much, you know I'm waiting for a service one Have a nice day THL
  6. Hi I just finished this new old classic The base was a 60's 5500 air-king, original USA C-I rivet band, swapped dial and hands ... et voila Isn't she lovely? Cheers Thl
  7. Hi All, I'm looking fo a "precision" or "super precision" dial for my 5500, but it's hard to source even a service one. So, waiting for the right one, I'd like to find a good compromise. In my opinion both NDT and Yuki's are not do close to the original, have got any other suggestions? tnx mates. THL

    1665 mbw dial

Thanks for your answer, I think the case will do, inner measure is 26.5 mm as the dial, my doubts concerned the date window distance from the center of the dial, I thought eta movements were different. Bye Thl
