  1. I've tried the dealers and they can't source one right now. Does anyone know if any of the other SOH's that are currently available have crowns that are interchangeable with the V2? I would imagine shouldn't be an issue. I realize the tube is done and I'd have to have someone shorten the stem on it.
  2. OK, so my V2 SOH had a striped crown, so wasn't wearing it for a while... I go back to the dresser where AI keep it and notice the crown has gone missing, along with the stem. Unreal... So after looking all over, it looks like I've lost it, Was wondering if anyone could help me source out another crown and stem for the watch as it was my daily... and sucks just sitting there as a paperweight... Is it junked? Really appreciate all the advice...
  3. Gotcha... OK that makes sense... thanks
  4. Hey guys... Just picked up a nice V2 SOH. I was contemplating a gen ETA swap. I believe it's 2824-2 that would fit it, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to stuff like this, and was wondering if the swap was straightforward? Everything I've read here and on RG is that there shouldn't be any issues. So my question is, does it matter if the movement that is going to be swapped in has the date at 3 instead of 6? (SOH has the date at 6) Can the watchsmith just align it so it would work or do I need a specific 2824-2, that has the date change at 6? Will the hands and and case fit with the new movement? Can I re-use the crown etc? Thanks in advance...
  5. No that's right... The Pearl on the UPO is kinda glued to the case... I prefer these versions with the pearl included, it's a pain adjusting the old pearl to a new bezel sans pearl. Count me in for a black one... Have you got the Black rubber straps yet?
  6. I'd be interested as well in one for sure. I'm in Toronto.
  7. It doesn't look like a problem. As long as you can screw it in and give it a few turns to lock it down, which it looks like you can do. Save your shipping money. my 2 cents...
  8. Don't sweat it. I just purchased from Andrew and can't be an happier with the product I received. I too debated wheterh or not I should get the 42 or the 45, but don't think you'll be disappointed either way. I know how you feel though.
  9. I've been a lurker for awhile now and last week pulled the trigger on a Black bezel 45mm Ultimate PO from Andrew at TTwristwatch. Got the watch today. Shipping took less than a week to Canada and when I opened it up, really, couldn't believe how great this rep really is. It really does look and feel like the gen. As I was trying on a few prior to purchasing this one at the local AD's. From a service point of view, I can't tell you how much of a painless transsaction it was with Andrew. The communication was great, and he really made me feel at ease with the whole transaction. Coulrdn't have asked for a better way to break my cherry into the hobby. I can see it becoming an addiction though. Like crack... Anyways, great watch, great dealer, highly recomended and now the decision is what to get next? Panerai 111h? Angus's, IWC cousteau, Breitling, Navitimer? Unreal... can't wait...
  10. I'd like to know as well. If any one knew where to get a gen dial for the 45 Ultimate PO. Or alternatively, can I replace the Omega logo with the one from the 42. I know there was talk that a 42 dial might fit, but I just don't see that happening. Love the forums btw and am really looking forward to getting into the hobby... TK
  11. I think that the efforts he's going to, to accomodate are commendable. As far as the font, to be honest, I can't see that much of a difference between the new and gen. Can someone explain what I should be looking for as they look pretty good. (Still looking for my first Pam and thought I might try this one.)
  12. One of the best reads I've had in a long time... Really appreciate the work... TK
