  1. pick me! This has got to be the funniest video I've seen in awhile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pqJpf6tidn0
  2. Are you sure the stem didn't break? If that is okay, then you can just get another ST1902 from cousinsuk.com They are around $138 plus shipping. I bought one before and had my watch maker do the swap. No big deal. I'm sure you can find a local watch smith willing to do this. If not nuwaywatch.com will help. Good luck! T.
  3. I think what you are describing is that you cannot pull the crown out into the date setting position, or you can, but it will not turn for you to set the date. But you don't mention if you can set the time. If you can set the time, what happens when you keep turning the hour hand 2 times past the 12 o'clock position? Does the date change then? If not, then probably your date wheel is jammed. You will have to have a watch maker have a look at it. It is not that difficult to fix if no parts are broken. Just look on the internet for watch repair in your city, and call them and ask if they work on replicas. Most of them don't care about the watch, mostly the movement is what they are concerned with. Just tell them it is an asian 2824 or 2836 and ask if they will work on it. Good luck! T.
  4. I don't have a picture, but I bought one from Silix with the flat crystal, and swapped with an OEM Omega Domed Hesalite crystal. It would not fit out of the box. I had to sand the bottom and the sides of the crystal to get it to fit. Then had to glue it in. I also painted the area near the rehaut a flat black with acrylic paint. It looks great now. I also have a bunch of the crystals ranging from 34-36mm from cousins that I didn't use. I'll probably sell these some day. So to answer your question, it can be done, but before trying this, make sure you know of a good local watch smith that can help if you get stuck. T.
  5. Don't forget the Chrono Avenger!
  6. I ordered a PO bezel from them and the bezel pearl was not centered, I sent it back and he sent me a perfectly centered pearl. They were fast and curtious. T.
  7. I just ordered 3 of them from Silix with crown and crown gasket. 3 of them(crown, stem, gasket) were $67 shipped, so not cheap. Maybe I'll sell you one if I don't need it. I'm just keeping some as extra's because the end of the stems strip pretty easily from all the hand winding.
  8. Update: I gave up looking for a pin and went to my watchsmith. He added a 1.1mm pin(don't know how he made it fit)but is took all of 5 min, and he said it is friction fit, and will never come out. Just a solid SS pin that is 1.1mm. He hammered it in using a jewelers hammer on a small steel block. It was amazing watching him work. He then sanded the ends to round them over, then polished them on a polishing wheel. Looks brand new!
  9. Update: Don't buy this product! It is the wrong size! I got these pins in today and they are 1.09mm thick and not 1mm as advertised. I'll be returning them. Also, found out you really need a 13mm long bar and not 16. Probably the 12mm would work if the bars were actually 1mm as advertised. Guess I need to keep looking!
  10. Just did a zodiac about 1 month ago that looked exactly like that. With the stem all the way in the 0 position(crown just spins with no resistance, 1 position is date and 2 position is time setting)push with a paper clip or pin remover in the hole where the arrow is pointing to. Pull and twist very carefully. Mine didn't come out right away. It too several times to push the button just right. But it should come out with some coaxing. Good luck!
  11. Beautiful! Love that version!
  12. I'd return it and get a hand wind. The movement in those are the ST1902 seagull and is a very nice movement. You can look them up on CousinsUK and they sell for around $138 for just the movement. They are rock solid too. However, the dial spacing you have to give up. So if you don't mind that, then go with the manual wind.
  13. I would expect it to be much better than that. I'd order from someone else and return this one.
  14. I had the exact same problem on mine too. But it is not a pin that is swaged. Here is a link to the item you need. I haven't got mine yet, but any day now. I measured the pin with calipers and it came in at 1mm. The length is about 16mm so I ordered this part: Watch Band Pins Be sure to call them and place the order over the phone so you don't get charged $15 for shipping. Name of the company is Cas-Ker Company. It is item sku# 900.010.
