  1. I am trying to sell my 204 weep but I cannot figure out how to upgrade my account in order to do so. Any help would be great. Thanks
  2. I am in the process of buying a 3714 watch head and need to get a strap. I am getting a black with black stitching but want to know which one is the OEM style, the polished or matte finished strap? Here are 2 pictures from Peter's site: Thanks for the help
  3. Which one is the closest to gen? I like the white dial but it doesn't look as pure white like the genuine one is. Any advice is much appreciated. Here are the links: http://www.ttw168.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_245&products_id=9999&zenid=bec3f645732ff0f3d08d3981ce2fd0a1 or http://www.ttw168.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_246&products_id=10077&zenid=bec3f645732ff0f3d08d3981ce2fd0a1 I would also consider the blue dial version if that is closer to the gen. Thanks
  4. That 45mm wouldn't be worn by any secret agent! Great review though.
  5. Anyoneccatch what watch he was wearing in episode 5 when he's at the party wearing a tux?
  6. As many people know, Kevin Spacey often wears IWC in his movies and now hie TV show, "House of Cards." Has anyone watched it yet? It is pretty good! Here is a look at his 3714 that he is sporting in the show.
  7. Is it the one you bought from me about 6 months ago? I may be interested in buying it back..
  8. I am looking for a 25mm strap that tapers to either a 20 or 22 mm buckle/deployant depending on what the deployant clasp size is of the 288. Does anyone know off hand if the 288 clasp is a 20 or 22 mm? Does anyone have a good recommendation on where to buy a 25mm strap in the US? Thanks
  9. I would most definitely start a PP claim, and not always do they side with the seller if they provide a valid tracking number, I know they didn't side with me when i sold something awhile back to someone overseas, they claimed that what they received was just an empty box it even though it wasn't, and I lost. Has that happened to anyone else?? People are so dishonest these days. Hope everything works out, Good Luck
  10. It looks fantastic to me. You guys like it as much as i do?
  11. It was the one up for sale a few days ago. I'm not sure I could trust you with the wine, maybe the watch though
  12. Just wanted to post some pictures of my new watch since I may not be able to enjoy it for very long as the wife is very [censored] at me for buying another watch! This is by the nicest rep I have owned, it was 2nd on my grail list behind PAM 204, it will tough to let this go. Anyway, here is some pictures:
  13. Oh, thats good to know, Now we wait for QC pics!
  14. Well, I just 2 of the 42mm versions one with the orange numbers and one with the silver numbers. I couldn't decide which I liked better so I bought both, I figured i'd sell one of them when they arrived!! Cannot Wait!!
  15. Haha, that's why I went to his site, and he still offers Paypal where as Andrew doesn't or did I miss it?
  16. can you order them yet? it looks like they are up for sale for $328 under the Planet Ocean on Andrews site. Or are those different? Also, Josh has them up on his site as well.
  17. Yeah so USPS confirms that they are awaiting payment from him, but USPS doesn't and wont know if he pays since their tracking part is done and the French Post doesn't have any info online yet. My biggest concern is that he does have or will have the watch and has not responded to my emails for the last week now, it doesn't feel like I am going to get my cash and apparently Chronopost is very unreliable, I may not get the watch either. I may be completely out of luck, but I guess I did learn a couple valuable lessons in this whole ordeal. I am still holding out hope that my watch will show up sometime!! Thanks for all the help guys
  18. Yeah I am going to give it at least another week after hearing bad Chronopost is and how slow they are. Sounds like it should show up but who knows when, I am more worried about the other guy not communicating with me either, not a good sign in my book, but I'll give it some more time as well, also the package i sent doesn't have any tracking info on the French Postal Site, but I'll call USPS tomorrow and figure it out. Does anyone know how Chronopost delivers in the US?
  19. Oh [censored] that doesn't sound good. Do you know if they deliver themselves in the US or do they use usps or FedEx or something like that? Did you always get your packages? Here is the latest tracking info from Chronopost, I am not worried yet since it was updated on Wednesday:
  20. No I didn't get the cash, it was supposed to come right after he got the watch. This was my first trade that was not just a straight trade or just in the US. Hopefully everything works out though, I figured that Chronopost was just really slow, so I am hoping at least receive his watch if nothing else.
  21. Yeah, I am not sure if it was delivered to the wrong city or just a sort facility where the USPS drops off the packages to then be delivered by another courier system in France. It says it was delivered in Le Mans (not the city he lives in) which has a sort facility and I know the package he sent me also came through the Le Mans sort facility. Here is a screen shot of the tracking information:
  22. Hey, I recently put up one of genuine watches for trade on the the gen forums out there, and I got an offer from a guy in France, I am located in the US so I was hesitant at first, but after a lot of email communications we worked out a deal, my watch for his watch + cash. I sent my watch via USPS global express guaranteed, and tracking shows it was delivered to a different city, so I was very nervous, as was the other guy. So we talked via email and he was very adamant about me not starting a thread in the forum we did the trade, which seemed off, since he was accusing me of scamming him, if anything it should have been me that was worried about the bad press on the forums, since according to him, I had scammed him (Now it feels like he scammed me). Anyway, he sent his package via Chronopost and told me it would be here by Wednesday, which it wasn't and it is now Sunday and still no package, I also have not heard from the guy in 4 days now, after many attempts of emails. I am starting to think that I am the one that is getting ripped off, not only does he owe me money but I have not received the watch yet either. Something just seems off but I don't want to escalate the issue just in case his watch is in fact on the way and Chronopost is just very slow, also there is no real way for me to verify that he did/didnt get the watch, since it says it was delivered, and by the lack of communication in that last few days it feels like he did get it. Basically I'll be content if I just receive his watch and not the cash, because at least that way I am not out 3k just 1k, since my watch was worth about 3k and his was worth about 2k. I guess I started this thread for a few reasons: 1. Has anyone used Chronopost to ship from France to the USA? If so, how reliable is it? 2. Should I file an insurance claim on my USPS package, that he claims he did not receive? 3. Any other suggestions on what to do? I guess I have learned my lesson about trading with people overseas, especially with so much money at stake. Thanks for any help
  23. Yes, but it wasn't a metal ring, it was modified and cut into 3 pieces and glued in place.
  24. I have received a modded SMP today and tried to do a dial swap on it but the dial spacers accidentally came out and I am not skilled enough to mod new ones to make this work right since the dial is a gen and the movement is a eta 2824 so it needs modification to work. are there any US modders than can help me? If not I am going to have to put it up for sale, as it is an awesome package but is separated right now. I just wear the watches, I don't fix them! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
