Even though they're not sandwich, I'm with Pete. I'd go for the 005 or 318. I used to be all about the sandwich dial watches. Then I got a new 111J and 005. I was disappointed with the fit and finish of the 111j. On the other hand, I was blown away by the fit and finish of the 005. Plus, I have grown to like sausage dials more than sandwich. If you want to slap the most accurate looking, unmodded PAM Luminor on your arm, go for the 005 or 318. You won't be disappointed!

When I got my 005, the hour hand wasn't pointing directly at the hour marker at the top of the hour, so when I pulled the hands to realign, I decided to go ahead and swap the movement with a seagull 6497-2 with the proper 21.6 BPH. These movements have been bullet proof for me for years. You can get them on ebay for $35-$40 and unlike the Swiss 6497-1, they have the same beat rate as gen. Nothing wrong with going Swiss, but there is a huge price penalty.
