  1. Hello, I am trying to keep myself sane during lockdown by teaching myself how to service movements. Unfortunately my tweezers were not fine enough and two or three parts from my clone 7750 pinged into the air never to be seen again. I just wondered if anyone in the UK had any old broken 7750 movements or parts kicking about that they might want to sell me so I can keep practising? Thanks, Tom
  2. I could be wrong, but I'm sure i've seen him wearing a Bremont recently. It was only a matter of time before the watch companies realised that sending the Top Gear team free watches was a marketing stroke of genius...driving supercars with their wrist right next to the passenger seat camera. Jammy gits
  3. I collect dozen's of packages a week from the Royal Mail as I run a business on Ebay. I have never been given a package without providing them with ID. No matter what you say, or how far you've come they will not give you the package. Otherwise you could just find the red card on the street and taken it in. I seriously doubt anyone would risk losing their job by not asking for ID.
  4. Not sure these can have been made with a genuine as I am 99% sure that you cannot get this chrono in PVD or Salmon. They have a 10th Anniversary Chrono but there is no date window and it has a '10' on the dial... A little artistic license from the factory maybe?
  5. I'm going to stick around for the non-chrono versions. I'm hoping now they've done the case it won't take long before this is out. The chrono is too busy for me, and this is a fantasy watch. Bring on the non-chrono!!!
  6. "made with gen as sample" not sure a chinese replica watch factory is going to shell out on a $25,000 watch to make replica's from, especially when it's a franck muller and so only appeals to a minority (myself included) if it was made with a genuine they must be pretty bad at their job if there are such obvious flaws...
  7. Nicole Scherzinger's going to get smashed up tonight And Massa.... bad luck but nice watch...
  8. I think football's a great way of keeping people out of prison and off the streets. Now Rugby - that's a proper man's game.
  9. I got another set from my friendly dealer - he didn't even charge me either. Thats your best port of call.
  10. Here are some images. Note that the dents are very shallow and any kind of strain and the springbars just pop out. Is this what they are all like?
  11. A bit like Kaiser Soze...one minute he was there, and the next he was gone.....
  12. Shameless bump - can nobody help me? Someone must have bought one of these for their other halves?
  13. Is it a 2183 or a 4183 or neither? Need to replace mine and they all look the same, just different thicknesses.
  14. Does anyone know where I can get another handset for my (asian) vintage rolex. I've buggered them up. I have asked my dealer who is looking into it, but I wondered if there was someone on the Bay?
  15. I'm really hoping that someone can come to my help out here? The bracelet on my girlfriends trusty Cartier Santos has come apart so I've been trying to fix it. Not a problem you might think except i've removed 3 links and they've just DISAPPEARED!!! It's one of those annoying things. One minute they were on my bench..and the next gone. Maybe the dog ate them I just don't know, but I don't have any spares and she's lost without her watch now it's come apart. Maybe you guys are thinking, "what a tight ass, buy her another one!", but this one has a lovely worn in look which she loves and i'd really like to get the bracelet fixed I know that with these watches there are always 3 or 4 links spare when the bracelet has been resized for your ladies that go to waste - they will never be seen again, so I wondered if some kind soul could spare some for me?! I'll even buy them if you like. Let me know if anyone can help. I don't mind if they have silver or gold screws on as I'm desperate - I will be eternally grateful. Thanks
  16. Not sure you should be sending anything to K2222 just now....
  17. had it two weeks. it's not exactly an expensive rep, but it's very good for what i paid. anyway the bracelet has come apart and when inspected it looks like the clasp is attached to the bracelet by one springbar that is held in place by two very shallow dents rather than slotted into holes as you would expect. this seems like madness? how on earth can it lock into place in a 0.1mm dent. had anyone else had any experience of this bracelet (the one with the screws holding the links together). the only way i can safely see this holding is by drilling out the dent into a small hole. unfortunately i don't have a microscopic drill bit or the equipment needed. can anyone recommend a solution. it may be just to buy a better rolex bracelet. i think i shall ask the dealer for one as this one is a terrible design. cheers, tom.
  18. has anyone bought the new upgraded pam212? i hate upgrading a watch as you don't get the thrill of a new brand, but it's my favourite pam and my 212 with the 21k 7750 died recently. should i go for it or do you think there might be some new and improved pams out soon. the rep brand seems to have been frozen in carbonite for a year or so. im hoping that might change very soon...
  19. I would say that the only place you can get these is directly from the dealer you bought the watch from. They should send you a set for free, but may charge you $10-$20. I have got two sets from my usual dealer as the other threaded.
  20. Anyone know if these phones will work on UK orange network?
  21. Bump. Can nobody help? I'm sure this must have happened to someone.
  22. Hi guys - anyone apart from Watcher got one in the UK? How are you finding them. I'd like to get one too but kind of using you guys as the crash test dummies first
  23. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Still funny though!!! The dealers are our only contact with the people making them, indeed many dictate what is made and what isn't. Just check there websites once a week - i'm pretty sure thats what most people do.
  24. I fear it might be a keyless works issue, but when I turn crown clockwise with the stem fully out it moves the hands but sometimes the stem turns without moving them and makes a clicking sounds, then it starts moving the hands again. When I turn the crown anti-clockwise the hands move and are as smooth as the cream in a Twinkie. Does anyone know why this might be? I'm hoping it's an easy fix sorry about the lack of technical terms!!!
