I got a new 3714 from Trevor and noticed in the new Portu the tachy bezel arre no longer held by four screws. The question I have is because of this how do I remove the movementon this watch. Let along the tachy bezel. Do I need to pry the beel off?
Welcome to he club. To fix the recessed date wheel you can try Franscisco mod or get a 7753. Then add a modded date wheel. But yes it will cost you either lots of time or some $$$.
I painted it myself with an air brush with primer. Just got to make sure it doesn't get blown away. I am also working on a date wheel for a tricompax,as it is my next project. I will post if it works out. Yeah without Andreww I would not know the flaws and how to fix. He derseves the props on the breitling community.
Got my camera out so I took a photo of my Avitt DLC modded 3714 Portu. Been running two years without a problem.
I have a Concepta one in the works, but this will do for now.

Thanks Man, my next franken project is a navi tricomp TT. I got a swiss 7753 cheap. So all I have to do is mod a lello date wheel with proper single digit date for a 4 o'clock date window. More $$$ for the mods. But the sense of accomplishment is priceless.
I have finally finished my franken Navitimer II TT. Gen slideruler, Lello date wheel, Gen Dial and painted black chrono hands. I wonder if it can pass as a gen??? Only two flaws as far as I know. Caseback and lack of lume on the gen tt dial. What do you guys think? Yes the slideruler does line up, gen dial and gen slider ruler.
With my nickname on the PS3
of course it would be NHL09. If anyone is looking for a game. add me to your PSN ID. It has a new be a player mode so you can make your own player and play from farm team to the NHL, and sign contracts.
Other than that Killzone 2 and Unreal Tournament 3.
Gen bezel by looking at the pearl. Gen dial as the aged lume is normally that yellow. Gen clasp by looking at the spacing and imprint of the engraved depth of the writing and lack of the gap between the clasp and links. Gen bracelet by the roundness of the bracelet. Looks gen to me.
It is the BEST watch to use if you are a pilot. And the alarm is loud enough that you can hear it even with your headset on. You can still get them direct from omega if you are a miltary pilot.
I got a hold of an old gen dial. The dial was so old, that the lume did not glow that well anymore. Hence I removed the old lume and relumed it with some C3.
Here is my White SMP Chrono. Basically changed the blue dial and bezel with a gen white dial and bezel. Used C3 Lume on the dial. But for some reason it already looks aged.
What do you guys think? Is it a keeper?
Here is a lume shoot
IF you have a soldering iron and are good at soldering, I would get some silver jewelery solder and weld it together. It will never fall of again. It would take 30 secs.
