  1. Does anyone know if it fits? I know the ref. 1530 and 1630 had 1570 movements, but I don't want the weird chapter ring of those two references. My understanding is that the OQ movement, the 5035, is very similar to the 3035 and just wanted to know if it would work.
  2. Sneed, I actually cannot add in my head. My math ability is somewhere in the 10 percentile region, i.e., like what someone with downs syndrome might have. Luckily, am blessed in other ways. The bezel you linked to looks flipping awesome. I will order one tomorrow andreport back.
  3. I am in dire need of a "countdown" bezel - i.e. one that goes from 55 to zero, to use on a timed test. I dont want to spend the money on a yachting watch, but that's the idea, a watch the shows remaining rather than elapsed time. I am really visual, so being able to "see" time is really important for me. The test ins a bar exam. I posed on a gen forum, but unsuprisingly, they were no help. The watch is a gen 14060 no date sub.
  4. I'm sorry, but I think the op is being deliberatively provocative. I can "afford" to key my own car and then get it fixed, but I don't because I'm not an [censored]. I certainly wouldn't ask people if I should just to get a rise out of them. Bottom line, great lume job, but still a terrible idea.
  5. Put some "gojo" hand soap on it a work it cack and forth for a few hours. Any aggressive/abrasive metal polish will work as well.
  6. I will take a closer look. I will try to get some better pictures up tomorrow.
  7. All very good points, Phoband. Just to be clear, I would never report someone who was selling a rep piece to Paypal, as long as he was clear that he was selling a rep piece. I'm only a 3L, so definitely not hiring, haha.
  8. MM, I hear what your saying, but I don't really think the analogy holds. I'm not going to give a long, boring legal explanation, but he made a representation, the representation was false, I reasonably relied on it, and suffered damages as a result. Either way, I'm not chalking it up to experience. I'm filing with Paypal buyer protection. I can even file in small claims court in my state. Again, maybe he'll change his mind and give me a credit. Maybe not, but it's going to suck for him either way.
  9. I don't want to quibble, but it's described as a "Rolex bracelet," the clasp has "Rolex" written on it, so if it's not a Rolex bracelet, he did not describe it correctly. Also, description aside, rep stuff is forbidden on ebay. He also sent it through the USPS, which is never a good idea if you are doing something iffy. I'll keep you posted, but I doubt I'm going to end up getting stuck with this. I have no problems with reps, I think they are fascinating, and so are the people who work with them. I just don't believe in dishonesty. Although, there is a chance he has made an honest mistake, I'll wait to hear back.
  10. I know the ref for the clasp and links are different, but I was just going to swap the clasp for a correct one. Now I suspect the clasp in not gen.
  11. I'm new to this, but after seeing this bracelet in person, I have doubts. Opinions please? http://www.ebay.com/itm/280795798463?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  12. Would it be possible to swap out the the bezel on my cal 1520 Air-King with one from a Tudor Mini Sub? Dial? I just think it would be neat to have a no guard mini sub. Ideas?
