  1. has anyone ever ordered anything from them period?

I often have and am very happy with everything .. one of my favorite dealers. I highly recommend dealing with Jay. Service is excellent and prices good. I have purchased 5 reps and all were as represented and without problems. You must be patient with communication and shipping speed.

  2. I have used coffee to stain the lume markers and it worked well. I left rep Sub dial sitting in the remains of a coffee in the bottom of a cup for a few hours. It did give the dial an aged look. The coke ides sounds good as well. I have read of members aging Sub bezels by soaking them in bleach. Good luck and do post the results. Cheers

  3. A potential buyout is possible that could result in a substantial economic gain for a new sales manager.

This is a management position and this sales manager will join our current board member team and be offered a performance-based equity stake after 1 year with the company, worth potentially six to seven figures.

projecting over $500 million in 2008 sales

This is a $500 million annual market.

Please NOTE: This is a start-up environment

I have owned and run a successful business for 24 years now. I would never B.S. with this line of "opportunity awaits to make big money after some other company comes along and buys us for a fortune". I have been pitched with this line a few times. This ad is all hype and no substance.

I have a friend who provided free legal work for a guy for 3 years. The guy was a stock broker who was constantly in trouble with the law and industry overseers. He was a master BS'r and hurt a lot of people and was in the end suspended for life in three provinces in Canada. My buddy did all the guy's legal work for free in exchange for 100,000 shares in a company this broker was a shareholder. This company was on the verge of being sold to either Microsoft, IBM or Oracle for more than $50 per share. Who knew on any given day who was buying it for how much eventually the price rose to over $100 per share. This company is a legit software developer with a good product but nobody has come up with any big money offer to buy it out. It has a software program that it developed that allows different database software to have a single user interface allowing the user to have to learn only one software but use it on multiple types of Databases.

So, my friend gave up approximately $80,000 in legal fees for three years work for these shares. He has been strung along for 8 years now that any day one of the big tech giant is going to come along and do the buy out and he will be able to retire and live the good life with a new $160,000 Mercedes, a Rolex Daydate and a really big boat . He has not seen a penny but he has brochures for the car, watch and boat.

IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Sun all passed on buying the company. This software company still hypes the buyout story and the principals sell off shares regularly to big dreamers with bucks to part with.

Moral of this story ... if it sounds too good to be true it likely is.

I am thinking that anybody who fits the criteria and sends in their resume could be the victim of identity theft. Just a thought.

  4. The PO in rose gold on a strap is the right choice and upgrading to the Hadley Roma strap is a great move.... Enjoy your watch it is a beauty. I have considering that watch. For me it is between that and the Omega rose gold anniversary Speedmaster Broad Arrow. Both nice .. and a tough choice. Again, congrats and enjoy your Rose gold PO ... it is a real looker. Cheers

  5. I recommend Blancpain Fifty Fathom...

Oh yea ... this is design at its best. A true beauty. I am waiting for the rep to come out. I almost purchased the MK2 homage but the wait time is too long between parting with your cash to receiving the watch. Then again I would have had it by now had I purchased it in January.

  6. I like this watch as well and was thinking about it. Be forewarned that once you buy it you own it for life or are at risk for a loss when you go to sell. They listed at $12-13k. Now they are offered at $7-8k and no one is buying them at that price. It is just one of those original movement brands that gets no respect in the secondary market - ala GP, Jaeger and Chopard. There are a number of watches that I really like but I don't dare buy them as I tend to sell gens when I am bored of them.

Kruzer makes a very good point ... be careful. Even the Rolex brand does not guarantee a profit when re-selling after buying new. Only certain models of the brand hold their value well. On the other hand if you love the watch and have to have and do not care if you lose money go ahead because life is short and you may as well enjoy yourself. Cheers
