  1. I've been trying to ease off reps and hadn't ordered one in a year. In that time Iiterally put a Pam616 into my cart 3 times and then took it out again because of the 47mm caseset being just too big, and the fact that I am enjoying smaller watches at 39/40mm these days. I saw the Pam960 and boy am I glad I waited. Ordered from Josh on 12/12 and it arrived on Christmas Eve morning. It has not been off my wrist since then! I agree the caseset material feels 'ceramic like', but to me this is a plus as it is not plasticky like a G-Shock. The lume could have been a little brighter but it's not bad, and it is in keeping with the whole 'blackout' look (same reason I like the black OP logo on the rep strap over the blue logo of the gen strap).
  2. Just caught up with this. I am sorry it didn't work out for you. Ultimately different people will have different standards and levels of expectation and every clone has it's own telltale signs. I have accepted about 3 watches where the bezel click is not perfect top dead centre but they were good enough to make me happy when I had them on the wrist, and at the end of the day that's all this is about. You are probably going to be better off saving for a Gen, or type "TC Sub V6" and prepare to be amazed...
  3. Sometimes there is a little give on the ratchet clicks. I'd probably have accepted it. Milgausses aren't my thing so maybe have a look through the forum.
  4. i've had one opened by royal mail. No consequence , you just say you were thinking you were buying gen - this is what Royal Mail / LMVH said when they contacted me. Josh sent another watch with a different courier. Recently the item description has been filled in as a timer..
  5. LOL I have emailed Joshua to see if he's had one in hand and has some extra QC pics he can send me. His listing pictures are very inconsistent in terms of the orange rubber bezel colour. Let's see what he says. No more Star Wars puns - I promise!
  6. What - fall on my own lightsaber - you've got to be kidding!
  7. Mate it will be there but it's small and you need to get the light just right to see it. Take a look at this, and check yours again
  8. For my education, how can you tell. I have the V6.
  9. I'm conflicted about the current rep of this watch. The caseset is steel not titanium, which would be a no-no if I were after the bracelet version, but I'd probably get the one with the Nylon strap and I could probably live with the steel caseset. Then the dial is pretty close but has Zr02 instead of Ti on it. https://vimeo.com/176922699 With my luck if I placed an order for the current 43.5 model, they'd release one with titanium caseset and the correct dial markings the following week!
  10. Yes but I have an Omega dark side of the moon rep with a quartz movement that sweeps, rather than ticks.
  11. Never - I would imagine! Most people I know who have fancy watches know very little about them and what makes them special.
  12. Welcome - the Chi is strong and friendly on this forum!
  13. Few years ago there was a story of rep Breitlings and Panerais being sold at Costco. The theory was that Costco bought them from a third party thinking they were Grey but still Gens. You'd be daft to sell a Rolex on Ebay without appropriate papers.
  14. I like how the tan strap complements the colour of the numerals and inlays. Only trouble is it won't stay like that !
  15. A bit off topic. Best to post in the Rolex forum. However, you've made a good choice. There are no UK based TDs. Joshua from Perfect Clones will take PP - no problems.
  16. Not a fan of vintage-look Pams myself, but that one looks sweet!
  17. My head of Chemistry in 1986. He was a racist swine and he hated me so much he put me in the second class for Chemistry. I got my own back when I got a higher grade in Chemistry than anyone in his class. He did teach us about radium dials though...
  18. One of my colleagues at work feels the same way about shoes that I feel about watches. When her husband asks her the p rice of her new shoes, she tells him the price of one shoe!!!
  19. Wow! SO many GTLS brands - I only heard of Luminox and Nite. I am blind as a bat without my contact lenses or glasses on, and the GTLS is very useful when I knock my watch off the nightstand. Of course if I was hardcore I wouldn't take my watch off for sleeping!
  20. Beautiful work. Learned lots from this post - thank you!
  21. I learned much more about watches since I found out about rep forums like this. My learning allows me to appreciate what is exquisite, be it a rep or a gen. My job means I have to go to Geneva once or twice a year, and I enjoy sharing the knowledge I have acquired with other people at the airport watch concessions. My inner 'value-for-money' gauge and my bank balance prevent me from buying some gens. I enjoy wearing a good value gen, but would feel guilty as hell if I went out and spent a hideous amount of money on a gen.
  22. Nice - never seen a mechanical one before!
  23. I knew it would come out soon, but the very week I receive my V6 114060, they release the V7. Go figure! http://www.pf-818.com/-p-20382.html I'm still very happy with the V6 I have in hand though...
