  3. I think all are valid points, and I would like to point out one more. When I am not enjoying my fake or semi fake (franken) watches I do reconstructive surgery. I give cancer survivors fake breasts, faces and revise their scars. People are imperfect to begin with and it took me a long time to understand the extreme frustration of a beautiful patient wanting to be perfect as opposed to the subdued request of terribly deformed patient wanting just to be made whole. Wanting to fool others takes a lot of effort and it sheds light on the darkest parts of your soul. whereas appreciating the aesthetic of the imperfect and accepting the things you can modify and the price payed (in scars, pain, medical treatments) builds character and enables you to accept the change and embrace it as your own. I feel the same about my watches and other posessions. I feel better wearing a vintage franken or watch I have brought back from the brink than wearing a well crafted gen. and I am certain every other craftsman feels the same about his work, accepting that some may do better and some may do worse.

  7. Yes you did!And its by far my favorite! How did you modify the ring? Did you just shave it down abit from the inside? The whole construct should just press down around it real snug right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I shaved it from the inside so it wouldn't crack a Clark's. It stays snug without being unmanageable to get on. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Thanks. Hope you are well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Hi, I have a great 5513 based on an mbw case and wso bezel construction. The plexi shattered and also the replacement yuki one i got shattered soon after i installed it. A replacment i got of ebay fits but the bezel is loose around it and just falls off. Id appreciate the help cause i love this watch

  13. +1 on mymanmatt. He does awesome work on any price range, if you wait long enough here can usually also find a good dials, or you can just look for them yourself on the bay.
  14. Tried one on at the dealership today, right next to all the RLX's and this is a very impressive watch in the flesh. First off its very surprising how little it weighs, and its ballanced very nicely on the wrist.. none of the sagging or slipping about I get with the heftier watches even though it has wrist presence.
  15. thanks, done. have a little smudge but I can live with that for now.
  16. Thanks! I didnt mean to highlight. I copy past from my original post on another forum Sorry
  17. update, I took another dial to the oven. no coffee this time. and shaved the dial by connecting it to the dremel instead of the cutting discs and shaving it on a stone. easy peasy. attached are some crappy pics from the phone. (in bad lighting) I have two questions of my own: 1. can you recommend an inexpensive way of removing a crown tube? (I have a set of wrist watch broaches but they are too small) 2. any Idea about how to remove the lower text? (I tried medical 70% ethanol with no success, and don't really like the Idea of acetone)

  19. +1 it came with the tiger concept case on ebay. But I am pretty sure he can sell them separately.
  20. the dial has seen better days.. but If I got you OK on the hands so this trial could be considered a success I have two more dials on the way, I'll give them a gentler treatment
  21. my pleasure. although this seems less then subtle, I have done my fair share of reading.. but nothing really prepares you to what it feels like hands on I'll be much more minded to the continuing effect of the different processes next time.
