  1. I have one of those Aquatimers pictured I have one of these Aquatimers that's five years old and been in my safe for 4.5 o fthose years, it's gorgeous with a SWISS movement, anyone interested? It gets no wrist time.
  2. Coolness....What do you call a dog with no legs or paws??? NOTHING, because no matter what you call him, he's not going to come to you anyways.... OK, I win the VIP, lol
  3. Unless you do vintage, first time your watch friend sets the time he will know.
  4. Believe me, I would rather have an awesome rep for the lesser cost of fixing, etc. I'll tell you though, the build I was planning was the ultimate with a Sean Case set,and SA3135 Puretime with gen parts or ETA with Yuki, gen band, etc but cost was almost $3k by the time you add it up, not to mention time. The gen was $4k with papers and from a well known friend who let me have it in 3 payments
  5. I had Titanic collectables and Robotech Toys from the 80's, Street Fighter arcade stand up game, Afterburner jet fighter simulator game etc....
  6. Thanks, had to eBay a few collectables, but I pulled it off.
  7. His was the very one I used as a reference to build mine. I will post pictures of the 2 together
  8. Trying on a friends Gen Sub got my head spinning and no matter how nice a rep I got couldn't get that gen feel again. It drove me absolutely mad, yes I'm the guy always complaining about setting the time and the hands go the wrong way...lol Sooo, I pulled the trigger and bought it from him. A beautiful no holes "F" serial 16610 Submariner Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome builds out there. This was something I could not pass up. I am happier than a tornado in a trailer park!!! That leaves 3 beautiful Gen Swiss ETA 28,800 hand built subs I will be selling soon. One is the 11610 Ceramic with box, booklets, card, etc
  9. That sucks, better know who you're buying the Gen from....
  10. Thanks for the tips, I got the 2836-2 and with a lot of mods, patience, internet research, and miniature tools, I built one hell of a 16610 Submariner. Had to get ETA hands and mod the date wheel by removing the center hub area and smoothing out the edges and wow, I did it! Sorry guys, my first attack at this, lol. It beats at 28,800. It even sings when you hold it to your ear like a gen Put all new gaskets and submerged, water tested for a week the sealed case without the movement and she is dry. How do you post pics? Anyone need a nice 21J movement? It's got Rolex style rotor with the blue screws, and lumed hands too. Extra date wheel also for 2836-2
  11. The current movement is the 21j with the nice blue screws that hold the rotor and no plastic ring. It's held in the watch with metal tangs of some sort. Very well done. Even the cover has all the Rolex engravings and numbers on it nice and deep.
  12. Any way you could set it down and get a 1 min second hand video? I'm close to ordering one, just need more convincing
  13. How is the second hand sweep? Is there any studder at all or rotor noise when you shake it?
