  1. Well my friend, you'd be wrong with that statement. It is a federal crime to deal (as in sell) anything that is a copy of a legitimate product and use their likeness and name with the product. You had better adjust your thinking where you said "I'm strictly a collector and do not get these as a business (not that there's anything wrong with that)" as it can get you in trouble. The mantra is that you are a collector and would only sell infrequently to other collectors as you build and manage your collection. I would also caution you to temper the quantity within a single purchase because groups of anything illegal could get you a charge of dealing in that illegal market. That having been said, I do not believe that you are necessary at risk on this purchase. You are demonstrating pure noobian tendencies to over-react. Give it time. Most federal charges that I have heard of are for much larger groups of items. The quantity of the shipment may draw attention to the shipment and I believe the worst that could happen is seisure.
  2. Yeah, I just read another sad story of this guy on RG
  3. Glad to meet you Wun Hung Loh but should tell you that height is more relative than count.
  4. You have already been told by a very competent moderator that this movement is a ticking timebomb that eventually provides epic failure resulting in a shiny door stop. How many times are we going to have to tell you this? Now, source a Daytona with seconds at nine and be happy.
  5. This one smells like a scam from the start. There is probably a 'gotcha' clause that finds you buying it at full price if you step on the trip wire, like maybe a hairline scratch, or maybe two minutes late on return.
  6. Well that didn't work! NO ONE contacted me and I have been trying for over a week to reach Singaristi about my shipment. I have PM'd him here and can help him if he contacts me. You know what they say about 'no good deed', but I'll give you an A for trying civic.
  7. I agree with aa007210 on this topic. I bought two of these and they both had major flaws with their Swiss movements. It has dampened my desire to source Swiss movements. No overall common problems with clones other than clean and lube.
  8. Now drip some hydrochloric acid on it in ultra small drops and let them run. Flush with lots of water after varying the time of each drop. Baking soda is your friend. Second thought, submerce the bezel up to the color change line and dampen the intensity of the red.
  9. Thanks guys! How about posting some shots of your collections. I enjoy studying choices made by collectors.
  10. The oldest Rep is from 1998. It is the PAM fantasy on blue rubber strap in the winder at top left. It is 2813 and runs perfectly to date without any service.
  11. The core collection and the ones being evaluated
  12. Your second photo is the most accurate relative to the triangle and pearl. Is it supposed to be superlumed?
  13. Never fear, Toro will always be here!
  14. Will it work on my girlfriend?
  15. Believe me, he does have it good! Very fond memories of Sydney at 64F, and I was not wearing anything that nice or driving anything so fun!
  16. It is a terrible loss any time that a contributing member gets banned. We all benefit from contributors. On the other hand, no one needs the grief that hotheads generate, as said by panerai153, it is ZK that will get hurt the most. Maybe a cool refreshment and an afternoon off will allow a rethinking of retaliation.
  17. This is scary good work for first attempts! I think you have an opportunity to pay for your REP collection by making straps. My only critique would be to tighten up the area between the tube and the boxed stitch. I think these are usually glued around a long pin that is removed after the glue sets up. Keep up the great work!
  18. Another good choice would be the TAG 500M non chrono and the Breitling Abyss non chrono.
  19. Yeah, these rate changes only support CONUS sellers limiting sales to CONUS buyers because Priority with tracking actually went down for CONUS shipping.
  20. Both of those tools are overkill for the collector. I own several cheap tools, very small to large, that fit anything that I have come across. My tools were just a few bucks apiece and they work great.
