  1. For sure, not the kind I would wear. But for sure, it will not be an ordinary watch ! I just wonder what my collegues would say if they see me wearing that watch in the office... Paul
  2. Something light today : Explorer I (36 mm) Paul
  3. Welcome on board. Two answers : 1) Only buy from those who are "Trusted Dealers" approved by this forum (unless you want to be scammed) 2) Take time to go through the forum, read advices and comments about different models and TD, and decide by yourself which one is the most appropriate for what you're looking for. Paul Edit : I'm sure the second one of your list should be written "lie watches" ! And probably the others are the same...
  4. Wearing my PO 42 mm today. Paul
  5. Quite often, TD say "fully dissected", or "ultimate perfect premium terrific best replication, blah blah blah..." Well, that's replicas marketing ! Anyway, a factory could have really dissected a gen and make a bad copy because they work bad, and another factory could make a perfect replica without any dissection of a gen, just because they have good engineers and workers. Go through the forum, read what is said by members with deep knowledge and experience, and make your own opinion. Just my 2 cents... Paul
  6. Very interesting to see side by side rep and gen dials. On rep, digits are biger than on the gen. But... do we have now updated rep dials ? Because after looking this post, I had a look at my own rep (bought January 2012 from Josh). And the digits look like your gen dial. When I look back at your pictures side by side, I see that "5" and "7" digits and marker at 6 almost touch the central part of the dial on the rep. But on the gen, there is a distance. And I have the same distance on my rep. Other point : on your picture digits seem to be thicker on the rep. But on my rep, they look exactly like on your gen. So, I think that your rep dial is probably an older production than mine, and they improved it. Otherwise, I confirm this watch is beautigul and very comfortable. Pity that the movement failed ! It stopped after few monthes (and I was not wearing it every day) and I have to repair it now. Paul Paul
  7. I confirm, mine has stopped working. I'm about to send it to a watchsmith in order to fix it. When he receives it, he will tell me what the problem is. Hope it can be fixed. Paul
  8. Adeodatus, Last January, I said that I loved this watch after seeing your review and I added that it would become mine. I bought it few weeks later, and as I see that your review has been bumped, I post few pictures. I didn't like so much the strap, so I changed it and placed another one I already had in my stock. It's a genuine alligator. The watch is really great and so comfortable on the wrist ! Only one problem, but a real issue : problem with the movement. It stopped suddenly and I have to send it to a good watchsmith. I'll send it to Wiz next week. Best regards, Paul
  9. +1. I think this bracelet would fit very well on a speedy. Hope you can soon show us some pictures of your new combo ! Paul
  10. I also confirm that you should better add 100 $ more and buy a good one that you will enjoy for a long time. Personnaly, I don't think that "happy feet" is so noticeable. But wrong helium valve position is a real issue. When you know that detail, that's the only thing you see when you look at the watch. Then, pleasure is dead ! For sure, after few weeks (if not few hours !), you'll want to buy a new one without these flaws. Be careful also with 21J movement. Not only it's not very reliable, but also the beating is slower than the gen. And it makes a difference which is easy to see. Major flaw in my opinion. Last summer, I bought a PO 42 mm from Andrew. And I LOVE it ! I paid the price (no happy feet, right position for He valve, mvt 28800 bpm), but now there is no shadow on my pleasure when I look at it. Paul
  11. XFi, I can confirm what cougar1 said about watchsmiths in Europe. Domi and Uwe are well known by members of replica forums. In France, Wiz (his name is wizi on RWG) is also very reliable. He's not so often on RWG, he's mainly present on RWI. Choosing a watchsmith in EU will avoid any problem with customs when you send or receive back the parcel containing your watch. Servicing a movement is easy for any real watchsmith. The problem is to find a watchsmith who will accept to work on a replica. By law, they are supposed to keep the watch and destroy it immediately. And maybe call the police. Paul
  12. In my opinion, before asking where to buy the watch, ask yourself which watch you want. Then, look when you can find it. Sometimes, the watch you want is not produced anymore and it is out of stock with all TD. So you can only go to the trading zone. If you want an immediate purchase of an available model, maybe you'll go to TD because you don't want to wait until you find this very model in the drading zone (you could have to wait one day, or one week, or one year... who knows ?). If you want to minimize the risk with customs, as said by panerai153, you'll buy from a fellow member living in the same area than you (CONUS or EU). Actualy, there is no rule. It depends of you, and also of the model you want. Take time to discover the forum, and you'll find a lot of information about all aspects to take into account before making your choice. Paul
  13. Actualy, if people love Hublot watches, they should vote "yes", so they can concentrate the information about their favourite brand. Can I suggest that people who dislike this brand also vote "yes" ? Because this way, they will not anymore see their usual sub-forum spoiled by posts speaking of ugly Hublot watches ! Paul (to be honest, I don't like so much Hublot, but I must admit that this brand is important enough to justify the present demand)
  14. Sorry for the watch, I have no address where to find the crystal. But for the rooster, I can suggest better than a basic soup. Here in France, we have the classical "coq au vin" (= rooster in wine). You cut the rooster in pieces, and you put it in a big bowl with red wine (a strong one, from south of France, not like Burgundy) with carots and onions cut in small parts. Put enough wine to cover the meat and vegetables (one botle should be ok if the rooster is not too big). You add pepper and herbs, but no salt. You leave it like this during 24h00. After 24h00, take the pieces of rooster and dry it with paper. Put it in a casserole with some oil or butter and small parts of bacon. Make it roasted during few minutes. Pour on it one spoon of flour, and mix. Wait one or two minutes more, and pour the wine with vegetables. Add salt. Cover the casserole, and lett it cook gently during two or three hours. Then, it's ready ! Enjoy it with mashed potatoes (home made, of course !). I recommend to dring a Chateauneuf du Pape with it (powerful red wine from southern France). For sure, this will not repair the watch. But for sure, after your lunch you will think that life is beautiful and the watch can be repaired. One last detail : if you propose to your neighbour to share this lunch with you (tell him it's a pheasant), you will enjoy it much more ! Paul
