I don't use a winder but I have heard that some rotors only wind in one direction. Because its on the winder, your rotor may just be spinning backwards. Try flipping it over.
Any watch shop sells springbars. Best thing to do is to remove the strap or bracelet, and take it and an old springbar to the shop. Try to find one that fits snugly with no lateral movement. Rep springbars are usually crap anyway, so its always a good idea to replace them.
Really not proving anything if you remove the movement is it? He's advertising it as watertight right out of the box. Opening it and sealing it properly defeats the purpose. If Angus has requested this test he should be prepared to replace the watch in case of failure no?
I see no problem in wearing a rep in to an AD. Not that I'm trying to fool or impress, but I'm not going to pull my watch off my wrist so I can go into a shop. The day I have to do that is the day I start wearing Timex.
I agree. I've won reps before, and the first question my wife asks is "what's it worth?". If my response was "$5000, its genuine", hers would be "hand it over, we're selling it!".
Thats just great! Kudos to Andrew and Josh for doing the right thing. Not sure how many B&Rs they will get back though, they are sweet looking pieces, eta or not!
Although I know these come in 2-Tone, I've never seen one in person. I've never been overly fond of the Bentleys. The new all gold 6.75 looks nice, but way too big for me.
Lets not let past accomplishments be overshadowed by one mistake. I've f__ked things up in my life too occasionally, but you learn from them them and move on. I know its just in some peoples nature to demand a public lynching, but I really don't think that is necessary here. Deal with it behind the scenes.
So long as the discussion remains civil, why even think of closing a thread. Personally, I'm just skimming the responses now, but if people feel like talking about the issue, it's a good thing.
Definitely not Breitling. I was freeze framing my 42" HD plasma like mad trying to get a good look at it. The dial is similar to the navitimer, but with closer spacing. Manufacturer name is centered in the top half of the face with what may be a logo beneath. It was definitely carbon fiber. There is a white inside bezel ring. Bezel is smooth with a double bevel. Crown looked to be rounded. Black strap, with no white stitching. I'm very curious as to what it is.
