  1. Beautiful watch! Is the bracelet custom too?
  2. Hi All, Realize that it has been a super long time for me too. Just got busy with life and have not done much with Reps in a long time. Recently just sold a few of my more expensive reps. Regards, Addingwatch
  3. Here is my old Patek 530 project from a few years ago... Regards.
  4. Very impressive! Congratulations. Regards.
  5. The V72 movement started out as a Gallet with full plates and markings from Phong. The case is also from Phong and needs a little "softening". The dial is a custom that I acquired a while back. The dial color is not painted, but has been somehow "stained". It really looks 50 years old. The pushers and crown are supposed to be original (hard to tell, but they fit correctly). The hands were also sourced by Phong. Regards.
  6. Not trying to steal a thread, but I also have a silver one with correct movement... Regards.
  7. @Freddy - since I have no watch skills, for me it was just sourcing the parts and paying a lot of money. Regards.
  8. If you decide that you want to buy. I would be willing to sell this one. It is phong's stuff with an unmarked V72 movement. I also have a black dial for it. http://www.rwg.cc/members/6265-exotic-dial-t99099.html Regards.
  9. .Another "restoration project" completed. Everything works correctly. The 6036 is one of my favorite vintage Rolex watches. Regards.
  10. @Ken - If you go riveted, go for the real thing, it is worth it. The rep versions are not even close. Regards.
  11. Only worn once under a dress shirt. It has become one of my wife's summer favorites. Regards.
  12. Thought I would share a project recently completed. I decided that I had too many black & white faced watches and went for a "rarer" 6265. V72 movement. Original riveted band. Regards.
  13. I like the colors alot, but I kind of agree with krpster. What about moving the text to the other side - across from the day-date? It would balance the face and make it a little less plain. Over all I think it is excellent work. Regards.
  14. I totally understand your feeling (and addiction). I just bought a mint GO Panoreserve and promised I would not buy any more watches (real or rep) this year. But, being addicted, I have bought three new straps since I made the committment. Must be strong... Regards.
  15. Break was in the middle, so it could go either way. Any info on the stems? Do they match an ETA or do I need to order one? Regards.
  16. My crown stem just broke on my IWC 3717. Does anyone know if it is a standard size, or where you can get one? Do I have to buy a whole movement? Thanks.
  17. The color depends on the amount of time that the tritium has spent in sunlight. The more "used" it is, the more yellow - orange. Also, the true color of a lume is difficult to photograph. The lighting when the picture is taken can make a big difference in color appearance. I wouldn't go to crazy on darker colors. A 202a is not 30+ year old Rolex. They are 15 year old models that have been very valuable the last 10 years. A light yellowing is probably best. Regards.
  18. This 202a is now available. Regards.
  19. You can get a much better deal than that. I have had discussions with multiple ADs about a Lange, and the discount in today's market is 30-40% off for pretty much everything but Rolex. Regards.
  20. The Tudors look way better than the Rolex. Regards.
  21. I would leave it. It looks cool and once you refinish, the value will drop. Regards.
