All, thanks for the replies and apologies for being a bit vague. It occurred to me that there might be some reps better known for thier resistance to moisture. I have had a few reps die young through moisture ingress. They are never quite the same after a repair - seems reps don't get no respect with a lot of watch repairers.

Thanks. To clarify, I'm looking for a waterproof rep for travel. Care to recommend one/some?

Amongst my bits and pieces I have a 25J Mido Multifort that was new when I got it 5 years back. I'm thinking about stepping out of it and am considering my options.

I keep it mostly for business travel where a timepiece has to pass muster in a suit, handle the shallow end of the pool and humidity.

Can anyone recommend a replacement? Keen to know if such reps exist.

I buy mostly from Andrew at TT, but often pick up the odd item in my travels through SE Asia.

Heading to KL for the first time late Jan. Any places worth visiting to see reps?

I assume the quality would not be on par with TD offerings, (I have seen some rough stuff - Mexico jeez) but the odd souvenir is fun.

I'm wanting after a Oris Big Crown Original Pointer Date. I have bought some Explorer, Millgauss and JLC units from Andrew at TT, but he's not showing the Oris I want.

Anyone else trusted have them?

I have seen some listed, but wasn't comfortable with the sites...
