  1. Hello all, In reading and watching reviews and comparisons on the gens for the most part the older 40mm is preferred. I know here we are dealing with reps and it seems that more "attention" is paid to the newer models from a factory perspective.(QC, etc...) Looking for some insight from current or past owners of both, as of today is the wiser choice if one was to purchase a white dial explorer II the 42mm version or the 40mm version from a rep owners perspective Thanks in advance
  2. Anyone got one yet? Please post pics and comments Thanks
  3. Is there a current model available? If so from where? Thanks
  4. After all that I think for $500 The steinhart ocean 1 vintage military may be the better deal for me.
  5. If you would please tell me as I don't see it on the website Thanks
  6. I'm also in the market for a newman Daytona just wanted to achieve the look and maybe put it on a bund strap so the brand name is not as important Just don't want to get stuck with a lemon. the Alpha Daytona has gone up in price to over $200 and the 6263 cartel rep is around $260 which would be the lesser of two evils? In other words what's the better buy? Thanks also
  7. Hey all, Looking for opinions from owners of both. Which is preferred? Rolex branding aside. Thanks
  8. Panerai153 I appreciate your insight as this was exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks. I tried on a gen silver rubberclad and do enjoy the look. I am able to live with the flaws
  9. Is that a vote for the safari, docthor?
  10. I gathered the black themes and the panda from other posts opinions. I guess my main motive is to try and purchase a $450-$600 rep and not have to put that much more into it to make it "acceptable" as funny as that sounds. I might find it difficult to spend an additional $400 on a strap etc..
  11. All standard flaws aside is there a one and done AP? The ROOs will need a service, and I know most will say the diver and most would agree. So besides the diver what other models would qualify not needing any mods or upgraded straps? The ones that I think could be are the black themes rubber clad, the panda, the 15400's are there any others that you would be able to "wear it of the box" without doing any further cosmetic mods? Just looking for updated opinions as I have done a search but it yielded older info. Thanks RWG!
  12. Check toro bravos he had a few in stock a week ago
  13. It's funny. When out and about I am on the look for nice watches as I am sure most of us are. I spotted a guy a month ago with an AP Lebron. It caught me off guard I had never seen one but could tell it was an AP. It was in passing and obviously a gen. Last week while wife was getting her hair done (in a modest salon) there was a male stylist across the place who had what looked to be a RB 2. I could barely tell if it even was one or not at first let alone a rep or gen. It seems that we tend to get ourselves worked up about tiny details and let them ruin great reps because of it. I'm guilty of it. (No black date wheel!) when odds are no one would probably ever notice.
