  1. +1 what sgt said. Dude, sometimes the "if you've got it, flaunt it" expression doesn't apply. Don't get caught up trying to impress people with material possessions, that they know you can't afford. Just enjoy your piece for what it is - an inexpensive replica of something you desire, but can't afford............yet. If anyone asks if it's gen, be straight with them. What does it say about you, if you are lying to people, to try & impress them? I won't buy anything that is a rep of mega-expensive gens, that I would never be able to afford, on what I make. I opt for stuff that are reps of gens that I could afford, if I really wanted to. Just my opinion. :-)
  2. As always, I am astounded by the brilliance of the modders on this board. Well done sir, you are a genius!
  3. Here's Andrew's new web address guys. Just in case you missed his post. As reported by Panerai153 in another thread, his old domain has been closed down by legal representation for Oakley. I wonder if others will be targeted, also. http://www.ttw888.com/
  4. Hope you don't mind me crashing your thread, sgt. I've just received a UPO 42mm from Andrew, that I ordered on behalf of a mate. It was my fourth purchase from Trusty, & I can absolutely reinforce everything you are saying. The guy is a dead set gentleman. Always quick replies, (no matter what time of day, I don't know when he sleeps!) & seamless transactions. I had the watch in my hands 8 days after my initial email inquiry. (I'm in Sydney). Gotta be happy with that. I emailed Andrew to thank him for such quick, courteous service, & even got a reply to that, within an hour! So if anyone was contemplating purchasing from Trusty, all I can say is, go ahead, you can order with confidence. Oh, & I hear what you're saying about the wife......................good luck with that! BTW THIS IS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT FOR TRUSTYTIME
  5. Hello & welcome Telis. Congratulations, you have discovered the friendliest & most knowledgable watch forum in existence. Enjoy it to the extreme. The guys on here are the greatest, & always ready & willing to share their vast knowledge.
  6. Great little snippet of advice, thanks Matt. Can't justify to the Minister for War & Finances, (AKA The missus) the cost difference between Swiss v Asian, so Asian it must be. So if I can look after it the best I can, it's all good.
  7. Absolutely beautiful ASCI. I've always said that I wouldn't like to live somewhere that it snows. But these stunning pics could easily convince me otherwise. Awesome, Well done.
  8. +1 mate, I really think you're on to something. Either way I'm pleased to have found you.
  9. Bummer, I guess that would be a difficult one to claim under warranty
  10. Ah, good old Aussie Post. Bless 'em. Awesome concept, dude. Hope it's do-able. Be sure to keep us posted.
  11. Very nice. I too have been bitten by the Pam bug. I'm going the 111, though. Or maybe the 112, or maybe the 390, or maybe............But I won't do anything drastic with the rest of th collection. Wll just have to acquire another box to store them.
  12. More nudity Z. Aaaarrrrrgggghhh, my eyes.
  13. Very nice, my friend. I was reasonably sure that this was going to be my next watch. Now I am certain
  14. Beautiful piece my friend. Great QC pics, Angus really is one of the best, Many could learn from him.
  15. I see this thread is very old - before my time here, but I feel compelled to comment on what a stunningly spectacular piece this is. As always, I am in awe of the craftsmanship by the members on here.
  16. Ahhhhhhh, be patient Grasshopper
  17. Yes she will be. It's just a crying shame that whomever caused the carnage didn't have the common courtesey to do the right thing. What is wrong with people today?
  18. I was going to 'Like' this comment, but merely liking it wouldn't do it justice. You hit the nail on the head, iCoop. Ditto to Dieselpower & Panerai153. Well said gentlemen.
  19. What the...............................???????????????????
  20. So sorry to read your tale iCoop, & all you other guys too. I have one also, but mine happened in our company carpark, so the perpetrator was some one I worked with...............nice. Same deal, nobody saw anything, security cameras didn't pick it up. Stories like this are wrong on so many levels. Some folks just don't get it. You take a little pride in yourself, & your posessions, & people think that you are some kind of weirdo - just because you care. Hope your panel & paint guy does a good job on the repair. Good luck.
