  1. So I did a full manual wind and wore it for 48 hours . I t stopped again after 48 hours!! Sorry River ... got one coming back!
  2. Update Powere reserve on this watch Asian 750 28800 bpm after 35 "partial"turns was 46 hours. I wore it unwound for a day (about 14 hours wear time) and that delivered a power reserve of 6 hours. I believe my problem was simply that I never manually wound my watch ever and was riding pretty low on my power reserve. I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT I HAD BROUGHT MY ISSUE TO THE ATTENTIONN OF MY DEAKER RIVER WHO RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND OFFERRED TO REPLACE THE WATCH IF IT COULD NOT BE RESOLEVED AFTER TESTING POWER RESERVES ETC. HE DID NOT OFFER TO FIX IT ETC BUT SIMPLY REPLACE IT WITH A NEW PRODUCT. HENCE I WOULD LIKE RIVER TO BE RECOGNISED FOR HIS EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE WHEN IT REALLY MATTERS.THANK YOU
  3. Thanks The Zigmeister. It is so fortuitous that you posted a reply since I was seriously considering messaging you directly ( but did not feel it was appropriate) I will check out the power reserve in a more formal way as mentioned. So what is your charge to 1. service an Asian 7750 28800bpm 2. Versus replacing the movement with a "serviced " movement when the time comes Thanks again
  4. I recently purchased a CHOPARD GMT with NEW Asian 7750. The piece has been running great and about 3 seconds fast a day However I have had some issues I basically wear the watch all day and night and take it off to avoid water exposure so I presume it is at full charge /wind most of the time. 1. On two occasions it has stopped early in the morning about 7am . It will start again only by pulling out the crown and pushing it back in. No winding required by crown or by moving the watch. Then it will run fine. 2. On one occasion it slowed down one hour overnight and then runs fine during the day. Is this a power reserve issue? Is the power reserve this poor on the 7750 or does this watch have other issues? I appreciate your help and if any one else is experiencing such erratic behaviour. Also i have run the chrono about four times in the last three weeks for about 20 mins just to get it lubed up. No relationship to when I used the chrono to the above events.

  6. WOMART HAS A Flawed version of the LIMITED EDITION 2005 Chopard Mille Miglia GMT. Note it has no Gmt hand, wrong date wheel, no date mag , wrong pointer on second hand and sub dials all messed up. BUT who will spot that..... Thanks http://www.wo-mart.com/product_info.php?ma...roducts_id=1293
  7. I was just about to pull the trigger on the purchase of a value priced rep at $98 but then received a charge for shipping to the USA of $30!!! This is way over board in my book , actual cost of shipping is probably about $10 so I would think even $15 is enough to cover the cost to put item from shelf into envelope and get on a bicycle and drop it off at the Post office. Prices are getting a little out of hand in my opinion ( $600 for 7750 Chinese movement reps etc and $30 to have your paperweight delivered). I guess others feel differently since the market must be paying these prices. Maybe it is time to pull the trigger on a used genuine....
  8. Hi I was just curious how everyone used their reps. I wear a Rolex Yachtmaster rep close to 24/7 and it is fast becoming scratched up( the strap not crystal) . I have only had it 6 weeks and the other day the bezel insert fell off! Luckily no one else was around but my wife got a great laugh out of it! I get the feeling these reps are not really built to be daily wearers but occassional posing. Please share your use and experience. I think a $200 watch should hold up to daily wear regardless of it being a rep. Not meaning to be prejudice ( my wife is Chinese) but is this down to the fact "made in China"? PS My dealer (Josh) is sending me a new bezel insert to resore my watch to its former glory!! Thanks JOSH.
  9. I thought the correct mag on the DJ was 2x ( That is what I was told by dealer) and 2.5x on professional series.
  10. Hi Guys Just switched over from Replica watch guide. Guess all the action is over here. But I will miss Highlying clive and his comments.. I have been searching for a decent rep of the moonwatch with little success. I was hoping to just order through Josh ( as I have had a decent experience with him) but his version of the moonwatch has a FLAT crystal (wich Omega claims was never available in gen) and measures 2mm less in diameter than gen ( Omega spec case 42 mm versus rep at 40mm). It appears that some of our other reputable dealers also have the watch in a similar diameter and flat saphire crystal. Communicating with EL , he told me not to buy his watch since it was not very good!! He claimed the plastic domed crystal would break/fall off and create replacement problems. I have also seen several posts here where members have questioned the size and received a cross between a REDUCED size and moon watch face ( with sub dial appearing correct). It appears that at some time last year proper sized reps were out there. So if anybody would care to share if these can still be had...I would be most grateful. What has happened to trustytimes web site? Also my search for used and new Speedmaster pro moon watch has shown that they can be had for about $1000 used(less than 10years old) and $2500 Amazon.com ( or a little less for gray market). Considering I will probably have to pay 25 % of used price for a rep should I bite the bullet and buy used ? Thanks for your input.
