  1. Perhaps in my case, since I had a white face, this is different and new to me. Can't say it's my favorite, but, it is a nice appearing watch and (so far) spot on. Funny thing about this one compared to the gen white one I had, the cyclops on this is easier to read! Good variation. Tim
  2. Dunno, I thought the same thing, but after I received it I have to admit I like it as well, if not more, as the white one. I had a gen white one and gave it to my son when he graduated from college. This one works as well, if not better, than the one I passed on.
  3. From what I know, and that's EXTEMELY limited when it comes to anything Rolex, your # 2 seems to be the most accurate (in black). I have one of these, and I know the stack isn't what Rolex puts out, but what the hill I'm not paying Rolex prices. Also, the movement in this particular watch is a 2892-A2, which is the reason I purhased it. There may well be flaws in it, but who's going to come up to me and examine it with 10X glasses? No one, but the watchmaker and he knows what I have. I don't think you can purchase these watches any longer, but if you do find one then snatch the critter up and tell yourself how lucky you were to have found it. Could I have mods done on it? Sure, but why? Tim
  4. Buy a kit from Caswell and do it yourself. Piece of cake to do. http://www.caswellplating.com/
  5. VERY cool! Thanks for posting that. Tim
  6. That's an ugly thing. Why didn't they just put the other bezel on it? Certainly would look better. After all, it is a fake so who cares and who would know anyhow? Tim
  7. It's crap like this that drives most of us up the wall. It's there in front of them but they can't get it right. Hell of a mystery, or, it is to me.
  8. Here you go. Might make you think twice about taking out a second mortgage. http://cgi.ebay.com/TITANIUM-BLUE-MARINA-M...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. Nice, I'll look it up. Tnx for the heads up.
  10. I'm good with this dialog. You're better - much better. Tim
  11. And you wonder why the world has a problem with Islam/Muslims. I found one accurate statement you made here that hasn't been covered previously, and that is we Catholics do guilt. Well, I suppose we do, but then we grow up. And, you? Tim
  12. Labs, hands down. They love kids, they love you, they're unbelievably loyal, they're big enough to scare the crap out of someone coming close to your house in the middle of the night (had it happen). The English Lab, white, black, or, brown, are smaller but more stocky, but, sweet and loving. The Eastern US Lab gets to be about 75 pounds, give or take 20 pounds depending on breeding. Western Labs are HUGE. I wouldn't want one of those simply because they can get up to 130 pounds. All in all, they're sweet, sweet dogs. My grand kids ride mine, Murphy, and he just strolls along letting them sit on his back. They also lay on top of him and he never moves. He seems to enjoy it as much as they do.
  13. Hell, I'm cool with any of it, Victoria. The thing is, you (3rd person) need to dig deeper in order to attempt to find a happy medium that works for you. It seems to me that you (3rd person) have to consider that what you're dealing with when it comes to religion is the so-called Law of God aren't, they're man made laws. The bible is full of cute stories, but consider the educational level of the population back then. Bring a JC into this society today and no one would buy what he had to say. I think he existed, but I also believe its a far stretch of the imagination to consider him God, or, a God, or, any part thereof. Man dictated that he was devine. This discussion could go on forever and I would fill hundreds of pages on point/counter-point. It's no different than politics. In the end there's only one answer; yours. Tim
  14. You want others who have researched this to give you facts, is that right? Why don't you research it and find facts? I don't mind conversation, but tend to shy away from becoming an instructor in history. All of what Pug wrote is spot on. It's always been a mystery to me how and whyt they decided to upgrade JC's status from a Prophet to a God. For almost 400 years he was simply a spiritual leader in the eyes of mankind. They, whoever "they" were, named this guy Jesus Christ. Ever heard of a Jew named that before? Of course not. Who knows what this guys name was. Could have been Moshe Ben-David Ben for all we know, but one thing we do know is JC was not his name. As for the missing years, read up on his life in Egypt and you'll understand more about what he thought and why. The Temple in Cairo didn't exactly follow the teachings that came out of the Temple in Jerusalem. They weren't bar room buddies at all.
