I used a caseback opener to rotate the outer ring so that one by one the screws lined up with the stem hole where i could remove them without the threads stopping them. Then after a bit of fiddling i got the outer ring out then the movement was in my hand. Thanks for your excellent advise and and responses everyone, That had me stumped.

Thanks for your reply. If it is a front loader which did cross my mind. Would I need a crystal lifter or some other crystal removal tool to get it out?

I'm trying to remove the movement form an aqua terra rep I have. What i have tried so far is to unscrew the circled screws but before they pop out they seem to get jammed under the case back thread. I cant see any other options so if someone can point me in the right direction Id appreciate it.

I agree couger1 good build quality, you can feel it. Now ive had the chance to wear it for a while I recommend this strap.

The watch was $20 and the strap was $50. I have read the Hirch Rally is gone out of production. Get it while you can.

You might be right about the date wheel but its hard to tell with the strange angle the date window is cut at. The original watch is white text on a black wheel so maybe i can get it better If i replace it. Lots of the AT's out there have various issues, I think this is as good as it gets for now with the display back with proper terminology on it. and the 8500 on the rotor and pretty accurate indices and hands. Glad you all like it, I spent a long time hunting it.

The red mark on the back is just a protection sticker I had yet to remove. The watch is from Watcheden and keeps great time and I think its great. Thinking about doing a dw and logo change at some point to make it more genlike.

My votes for AT as its most versatile and that's good for high wrist time with a gen,try to get an automatic or the noobs will say its a fake
