Hey mates , just wanted to let you know about my first experience with the "new" shipping service that most TDs use nowadays...OWE or One World Express. 3rd of October I ordered a 1675 at Toros, confirmed the QC pics at 7th and it was shipped at 11th...today the watch arrived safe and sound after just 6 days. This is, for me, the absolute record for a rep from China to Germany. At first I was confused because the tracking said that the watch is getting straight to Germany even though I paid for triangle shipping (you guys know the German customs!!). But Toro assured that it's coming via UK and since I never had a problem with him it was okay for me. And yes...even though it was always with one carrier the watch went through UK before it landed here in Germany to be handed over to DPD (which is one company with OWE as I learned). For me shipping with OWE is a great opportunity. One of my concerns with buying from a TD was always the time factor of sometimes 3-4 weeks shipping time..above of the QC waiting time and the like...so 1 - 1,5 month from order to arrival wasn't unusual and that's too long for someone who's as impatient as I am. Now it's only 14 days and it seems to be pretty safe too...great...just great

Just some better pics of the dial. I found out that the Tiffany and Co with underlined o is never been seen on a Rolex dial but they did it like this back in 19th century as well as on wrist watches in the 30s and 40s. So it's somehow authentic and since I like it I'll leave it like this. At the end it's still a rep and it's my rep The print on the dial looks pretty good and and seems to be a real Singer plate.

Oh.. there'll be a MilSub. I plan to buy a HR case for that dial. It's just a matter of time...I can't do too many projects at once Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware

Well...my 5517 plans just stopped...Domi isn't able to install fixed bars and I have to find a new case. But.... I just bought a gen refinished 5513 dial Now all I need is a different inlay since I already got gen Tudor hands. Everything else can be used Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware

I love that beauty and your mind set...it doesn't matter if that watch is period correct...it's your watch, it always was and it will be till the end!

...it's only a matter of weeks now. WSO assembly is on its way and I already received several inlays to play around with. I hope next week I'll have some time to bleach and heat and age the inlays The 2846 should be here next week...she's getting closer to being built

@nikki6 ...maybe you can help here? The thing I'd do is to restart the interface (if no production server) and check if they'll show up again. Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware

Back in my gen days I used to be what we call here in Germany a "Poliertuchmuschi or just PTM"...I was so scared about scratches and tried to avoid any contact with materials harder than a polish cloth. This totally changed but what this guy did to that former nice DJ is something I cannot live with. I hope Domi is able to swap the dial and maybe to repair the movement (if it's really a gen swiss ETA which I doubt actually). The case and the bezel are totally lost...no way to bring them back to live...

Guess this is due to upcoming Christmas season and so some guys try to build up their funds with pushing their sales by misrepresenting what they sell...I had some bad buys the last weeks and there were other sales too. Mainly on the other boards but we had some too... Here is my latest bad buy... https://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/339619-Franken-Rolex-Datejust-2?p=3045869&viewfull=1#post3045869 I just decided that this DJ II was my last m2m buy be it gen or rep. Because of misrepresenting I lost almost 20% of my already small watch budget and I'm not wealthy enough to just eat that and call it a day. I have to work hard to "restock" my budget. Usually I always do that...movement isn't running well...heck...it's a rep and I'm in the lucky position that Domi just lives next door. I always change to swiss movements anyways. Small things are just what they are...small things...I don't push the boat out about it. Either I just buy new or let repair what's broken or I sell the watch with a loss. But actually I'm at a point where I can't do that anymore and I bet I'm not alone...

Thank you Base case is a Cartel reworked by Rolojack. I let Domi do the build and install the fixed bars. Can't wait to see the final product too Sent from my wooden drums via Tupperware

Clear your mind must be, if you are to reach out for the Dark Lord! Sorry...I just couldn't resist

Got it of the bay and no it hasn't the correct serifs. But even a wrong inlay looks better than none and so I choose a cheap one at first so I have time to hunt for a good one
