  1. I see nothing wrong with this watch and kirill is a well known seller.
  2. Some sellers are out to gouge some for market value. Age also plays a role.

Please post this in the sales forum. Not appropriate here.
  4. Recently sold a 76 1680 for $5500 to a friend. Would have listed for higher Ina public sale.
  5. Nothing better than an original from Phoenix. Thin but tight and comfortable weave. Supplier to the MOD and who Rolex used to use.
  6. Very nice. I like the blueberry as well so just recently picked up an insert from Clark's. Here's my 16750.
  7. Mil04 It is an original sub from 73
  8. you can find a better quality dial then that. Those plots are HUGE. here is another one to show the plot size:
  9. mine is a gen. Double O's not sure about.
  10. Check you gasket height too. 1.8mm crystal uses 2.7mm gasket. 2mm crystal uses 2.5mm gasket for gens.
  11. I agree. The blue/gold combo are normally less than a black/silver. The blue/silver though go for the same as the black/silver 16613 since they can be used on a standard sub to mix things up.
  12. I have shipping information. Will check them out when I return from China next week. I have ebay buyer protection on it so no worries.
  13. Anyone try to fit a TC to a gen? Always been curious about that.......the v4 looks just like the coronet on my 93250.
  14. Tudor never had a 93250 clasp. Subs came with 9315 marked clasps. All factory service clasps are stamped 78500. Did everyone miss the fact this has solid midlinks? Nothing on that is right.
  15. Woof I bought from the guy he was going to buy it from. They were selling in the 200-300 range in 2010. Now they go for about 500. I bought one last year for 400 and sold it again last month for 5.
  16. I tried to broker a deal with Steve about 3 years ago for a blue Tudor insert that he sent me pics of. He wanted $600 for it. I contacted a seller out of Germany with a cold email I found on vrf asking if by chance he had one. He sent me pics of one with a price of $300. It was the same insert. I asked him if someone else had by chance contacted him about it and if so I'd give him what they offered. He said he had but that the person hadn't responded yet so he would. Bought it for $250. Mulholland was the other guy. He was trying to net a $350 profit as a middleman. A week later I contacted him to see if he still had it. He told me no as his source didn't have it anymore but he could get another for the same price. I told him it was ok as I was the one who had purchased it from his "source" for the same price he was going to get it for. He responded that he didn't think that was right of me. My response was a simple one liner: I didn't think a $350 profit was either." Never contacted that schmuck again.
  17. I agree with JoeyB. It is in the label. So the replica might be worth more than the Tissot but the difference is the Tissot is a licensed product of the Swatch Group. Your high end or even MBW replica is just that. A fake. Sure most watchmakers will view a replica as a $25 piece of trash but it still doesn't make it right to treat your property as something of insignificant value since that is how he views it. To that point, why try to find a watchmaker who can work on it outside of someone aware of the real depths of the replica market? To majority of people outside this community, even if the thing cost you $500 it's no better then a $30 quartz based replica you get on a street corner and will thus be treated as such.
  18. Typically the crystal and gasket will come off with the retainer. To remove the crystal you need to use a plug with a hole for the cyclops. Push the crystal and it will release. Typically a crystal press or a drill press with a plastic insert is needed (this is what I use).
  19. Great pickup DB. Another option to consider would be a 93250. The match right up and you'd have the benefit of a matte with lug holes and a solid end link bracelet. Here is mine to show how it would look. Definitely worth a consideration. How is the lug end wear? If you are in Cali, Dalton at ABC is able to fix lug tip wear if needed. Might want to consider it if this is in for the long haul. Apologies for the size of the pic. Only one I have that shows the fit well.
  20. As others have said it uses a retainer ring. Only difference between a 1680 and a 16800 is that they removed the wall from the acrylic crystal and turned it into a gasket for the 16800. When installing the gasket make sure that the lip fits into the groove in the sidewall of the crystal. Otherwise installation will be tricky. Key for making sure the "teeth" alignment for the bezel is correct to the 12 marker is to make sure the hole for the click spring on the retaining ring is at the 6 minute marker.
  21. Yes I have a total of three. I put one on the 16800 pictured above. Another will go on my 16750 which leaves one extra.
  22. Good buy. I've got a gen silver datewheel for that beauty if interested and that sub has a white one. Makes all the difference.
  23. On real dials they are cups just like on reps. The big difference though is that on real dials the cup posts go all the way through the dial and they are soldered on from the back. Once that is done the remaining bit of post is ground down. As a result each cup is attached very firmly to the dial. Most reps just have small holes drilled but not all the way through. They are the glued in place.
