Why didn’t you just PM me?

They are between $300-$500 on the average.
But back to your application with the cal. 3000. My assumption was that 3035/3055/3075 were based on the 3000. If that’s the case, are we even sure a ref 162xx case can house your movement?

Oh you got a cal 3000? That wouldn’t fit any of the cases listed above.
Did 14270 even come with. 3000? I know of 14060 & 14000.
You might wanna try a gen 16000 case.

Hi, Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm curious about this case. Does anyone know where I could get one? I have a Gen 14270 ( dial, hands, crown and movement ) but no case to put it n. I currently have it in a Alpha explorer case but the dial and movement do not fit correctly. I saw one on ebay with riyi for an eta2836, is that the same case being referred to? Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you in advance.
Hey fellow explorer/DJ lover,
Your most practical option would be to use a gen 16233 case for your 14270 but that wasn’t your question.
Yes a rep 16200 2824 case from Riyi/raffles/JMB/MMM case can take a 3135 movement. But the case would need to be modded from inside and also the crown tube repositioned.

‘Sup J!
It’s a 24-600-0 crown quite alright. I can tell from the width of the stem post it’s for a “big tube”. But as for it been brand new...it far from it. The threads are already kinda worn. If it came in the old style green & white bubble pack...those can be opened & resealed easily. I guess that why Rolex changed their packaging. -

@watchfield I love OPs. And yours is very gorgeous as is. I have had a few franken 1002/3/7 in the past. Replacement dials are kinda hard to get these days. Mint condition ones go for as much as $400.

Over the past 4years that I have been active in the rep community, I have come across only a few inexpensive rep cases I would consider “workhorses”. Cases like Silix Big crown and Cartel 5513/1680 might be mentioned in this category but even them 2 cases are far from correct. Silix case doesn’t take any gen part while the Cartel 5513 only takes gen dial & crystal without modding.
Why do I think this rep 16200 case is the ultimate workhorse?
1. It’s accepts all the Gen parts you would need to make a Franken DJ like Crystal, dial, bezel & Crown without any mods...straight plug & play
2. It’s quite versatile. I have used it to build numerous franken DJs & Explorer 14270s.
3. It’s quite inexpensive. You can get a complete case set as cheap as $40.
4. If not for this case, we wouldn’t have a JMB 1016 Explorer V1 or V2. I have actually built a rare 1018 OP using a JMB v1 case. @JMB pls bring back the V1 cases.
5. Even though the only Gen part that wouldn’t fit without mods is the case back. The rep case back actually fits gen 16200 case.
But with all the Pros there are sure some cons.
- I noticed that the 2824 versions sometimes have a wider dial rehaut which causes dial alignment issue or might cut of railroad tracks & “Swiss” @ 6digits. “T Swiss T dials arent period correct for 16200 anyways so avoid using them. Keep those Dials for your 160xx builds
- The lugs are a little bit to robust for majority of the Datejust I build which are with tritium Dials. This “con” is pretty easy fix though. It can be done with a mid-level dremmel multipurpose hand tool like this
Here are pics of the stock(sterile) case, before and after the reshaping.
A little metal of the top & side of lugs
I replaced the case tube, brushed & polished.
Compare the results
Stock rep case(left), reshaped rep case(middle) & Gen case (right)
And here a complete franken 16233 w/ the reshaped rep case.
What do you guys think?

jmb[/mention] & I think were the first to use a felsa 400x movement in a JMB 1016 case. Justin also had to make a custom movement ring for the felsa movement. I really love having the movement in my 1016 explorers. The PR is also very good.
Here is what's it looks like
I also used it in a 1018 OP build

Why don't you just use a felsa 4007?
