  1. Good evening gents. I have a BK Sub, 116610, and I recently lost the bezel pip. Im not sure where to look for a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Evening gents. I just want to confirm the stem should be in the time setting position when removing it. Thanks in advance.
  3. Is anyone aware of a good rep for the BB chrono? I see some for sale on Puretime, but the consensus over at RWI seems like nobody makes a good one yet and most are DH Gate specials.
  4. Evening Gents. Has anyone had any experience with these clone GMTs? The price seems right but I wonder if I'd be better off snagging an ETA 2893. Its for an Explorer II I'm finally putting together. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324839521890?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4ba1f1be62:g:KigAAOSwOPZhbvDB&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAACkPYe5NmHp%2B2JMhMi7yxGiTJkPrKr5t53CooMSQt2orsSvhAqMt0wg86xg8aAkgjQJBKfDRBO3IuSyV4jrHB2sHYmlL82duyWbUdLCxd%2FfLIdwAuLNW1bnovem1n%2FmMpLXKaN3WdYT%2BX7y%2BQcsNIYiYidX6lTpA0P5eeO2F1jdW4GWL%2B8Y7sGXAC4SbeY1kY0vbVzq9pAU8g5rkXgq4u7vt8Fwspj5zH69P%2BOkRKYTpwKKmjlCNkWksMPjseFRXLvXmBiwxWCCRjfLs9WCCJAX9SJWDqrNkzsmdiWmGkDrdN5nZfi6Zsio%2FWpWpRFWTf6KnorDSKdAyEYJibmfTQ9fXmj5RKfDmyTD0p7x3umq%2F%2Flf%2BJywAIXbVz5h00v8Kvo%2B4QbzTxoOwYfpR0LMRk%2Fwh5iyZDVCQcihCHzhBc1YxR4%2BPV6X8wiqg%2BzZ99K3ZOrym3LGahaOXVBvKL%2FLyumDSKbm031X7lcjZwg0O7ikP2KGy2f6xF6z19EpZrc0qFGH7x9kbiTF9wp0IoBAGAPJGh5v5ywRGsEWxRVfvaP3M9AdIYiTcHx%2B3I5e37kOH6l0Pig1F79%2F6KHYN4NoO4rPTdL9%2F%2FXBhTte3VupTWq84CM2SducT4FxVDb9mzRFaPk1Nh0CP%2FuACSqcYyOEYtfDew7q153mQBleKUeioKI1vPJc%2BLJ9O4Jjj4t3PesAdpFjcr0dvz5Xv%2BMeMsIah%2BPIOOtmJRI%2BiQN3sAN1q3j7BYM5oyEzhIE1qOBZu1Uz5q1GMiNpR6NBM1OSB%2FSD7BbYBBvKC8hbcJNgjPu%2F5o6sCgBTUROQ7RXQ1ejRyDB8dYnzq0wF2yjEFiRRKjv05Ha668yULASYL5YFlKlutj0sfWg|clp%3A2334524|tkp%3ABFBM0rDE5bRf
  5. Not to bring this back from the dead after a few months, but he was difficult to deal with, and my only interaction with him really [censored] me off. I had an absolutely beautiful Dark Side of the Moon Speedy that i regrettably traded to him for an Explorer II with an ETA as he described. When i received the watch, the thing looked like it sat at the bottom of the ocean for a year. The case was in terrible shape, and the paint had all flaked out of the bezel. I dont know how he made it look so good in the pictures. I also immediately ran into problems with the watch losing time and upon inspection it was an obvious clone movement. His responses were pretty [censored] poor. First, he told me he never traded an Explorer. Then he said he cant remember if it was an ETA or a clone. I feel like i got burned on the trade, but now I'm glad i never actually bought something from.
  6. I've got a really decent Explorer II hand set and dial that I would really put into use. I'm having a hard time finding a GMT movement to use. I would prefer something that's 28.8 if possible. Any advice?
  7. Thats really crazy money for that watch. 5 years ago i bought a 16013 dated to 1981 that came with the original box and all papers AND a matching ladies model, also complete with box and papers for $6000.
  8. Thanks for the offer. I have a degausser ordered that should be here tomorrow. I'm going to see if its slightly magnitized and maybe that will help. If not i may take you up on that.
  9. Its been a while. I forgot to update as i went along. New generic balance wheel installed, and still low amps. I removed and cleaned the gear train, and installed a new main spring. It still runs with low amperage and a beat error of about 1.4-2.0 ms. The rate also fluctuates all over the place. It will be -14, bounce to +40, down to +6, back to +30. I'm getting ready to throw in the towel and just buy a Gen ETA. Help.
  10. E90 BMW 335i LCI. Big turbo, lots of goodies. Oh yea, a bunch of motorcycles. -2007 SV1000S -2000 SV650 (trackbike) -2004 ZX6R (racebike) -2016 Streetbob
  11. Beat error bounces from .6 to 1.7ms with about -15 to +25 s/d, dial up and down respectively. I found a guy selling a complete balance wheel and bridge assembly on eBay from an ETA that he had listed for parts. Once that that shows up I'll do a more in depth cleaning. Thanks a bunch for the help. ?
  12. Thanks for the tips! I ordered a gen ETA pallet and balance assy. The pallet came in Friday and its been running like a charm since install. I also gained a bunch of amplitude as well. It usually ran around 170-180 degrees but now its around 220. Could improper lube on the pallet have caused this? Ill probably put the gen balance assy in as well when it arrives to try and reduce the beat error.
  13. Hello Gents. I have a Sub I got from Andrew at TT a year or so back. It's got a high beat ETA clone that's been running well up to a few weeks ago. It randomly stopped running so I started poking around and saw that the balance wheel had jumped the pallet fork. The impulse jewel was striking the outside of the pallet fork essentially locking the movement up. I reset the balance assembly and got it to run again but now this a continuous occurrence. Should I buy a new balance assy? Could the catch on the pallet be worn? I've never ran into this problem.
