  4. I agree, the only way my wife would let me do this would be if I did it at my girlfriends house. I think it looks great and I want come to your house and drink beer and buy a watch.
  5. Too much black in my collection, thats why I bought the grey. Now if only that damn thing would show up..........
  6. I would be interested to know how much is too much. pm me if you can. Wear it well, it looks great.
  7. There is someone selling them on the bay. smap_fan I think.
  8. At least you didn't call him an (censored). That's way worse in my book.
  9. It is not easy to work with and any mistake will tell on you. Practice on something you don't care about. Sandwich dial PAM's are pretty easy. Some dials with surround markers are pretty easy. A dial like a sausage F series PAM or that B&R, I would not touch with a ten foot pole. One twitch and your dial is ruined. IMO, You wont save any money doing it yourself. A TriTec kit will run you almost what Rob charges to lume one and you cant buy his skills in a kit.
  10. Both, depending on what you are doing. Be prepared to screw up, often.
  11. Sorry for your experience, but at least you get a full refund. I understand some do not. I was going to buy some parts from him about a month ago, but never did. Might have to eventually, but not today. It's a shame really, because when he started out, I thought he was going to be a really good dealer. He was asking for our input and making changes, etc. I do not know what happened, maybe he just got burned out.
  12. Agree. Looks good, tell us more about that dial please.
  13. Can someone please tell me how to relume the pearl on SFSO, BCE, Skyland, Etc. ? There is a little piece of glass over the luminous material and I don't want to break it to get to the lume underneath. Is there a way to remove the glass without damaging it? I know I could break it out and fill over the lume with something, but I would prefer to keep the glass and replace it after I apply some better lume. Ideas? Thank you in advance for your helpful advice.
  14. Yes sign up on their mailing list. You could just check in here. If it's new release someone here will post a what do you guys think about this one thread.
  15. It is one big chunk of metal. Get yourself a nice think leather strap. It will make a world of difference and will feel more secure on your wrist. Wear it well.
  16. Looks nice. Please let my Skyland show up soon, you guys are killing me with these pics.
  17. I have some of those pics saved to my hard drive. When I looked at a pic of a white letter 1680, it was the exact same pic I used as a visual to mod my 1680 from. I would stay away. 100% scam IMO.
  18. Looks great alligoat. I would also like to do a 16800 project. Best of both worlds, sapphire with a matte dial. A very well done replication, thanks for sharing.
