  1. Real classy! Looks like it uses the same mov't as the Omega Speedy "triple date".
  2. So Joe is Miss Understood? I understand not...
  3. Thanks Ubi! I think I need someone to tell me when to stop It's going into this case: so I want the whole vintage vibe to be unified... It's also getting a special vintage mov't: I'm hoping the rest of the watch will live up to the engine.
  4. I was going for the very used, war weary look...
  5. I have to be careful because my oven gets pretty hot: It goes to 2000 degrees!
  6. Thanks guys. I just put a coat of clear satin on it. When fooling around with this one I heated it in a small oven at 175 deg between coats of clear. I noticed that if I didn't let the part cool down between coats then cracks ran all over the surface. Some of you guys fooling with vintage stuff may find this useful. I'll bet you could heat up a Vintage Rolex dial, shoot it with some clear and get some cool effects if you wanted to risk it. The only thing about a Rolex dial is that if you screwed it up you couldn't fix it.
  7. Wow great work especially since you started with a completely dead watch! Wear it with pride!
  8. I hope to get it right next time...
  9. It's just a cheap fiddy case. I think the dial's gonna be a "do-over"... Put a big @ss dom on it though... more crust...
  10. Mov't side: The spacer still needs some work...
  11. Good crispy or bad crispy! Or crusty, or crappy...
  12. I was going for the "crusty radium" look. Any input?
