  1. Congrats on your moonies!! All time classic watch, one of the best! (Next to the seamaster chrono, hehe) This is definately on my going to get list, just haven't found a really god rep of it yet. Who did you get yours from?
  2. Its original. Google the model number. Omegacentric has a good page with explanations over the different omega model numbers.
  3. Good luck thorne sounds like a great project. Have a gen dial from the same era as my great white. The gen dial before the red seamaster text has a few more lume points. Omega has still kept the calibre 1164 which is actually a modified eta 7750. I still think Andrew is selling a good rep. Would recommed a service by a good watchmaker like Rolexman for the a7750 though as most have issues. I was thinking of making a franken but saved and got a gen. It is actually very underpriced on the used market. Heres a picture of gen dial and parts and rep bracelet.
  4. Heres my gen after complete service from omega. Sorry but that is the worst rep i have seen.
  5. Would you buy a low mile used Audi S6 or a brand new Tata? Remember that the ETA has intechangable parts if you ever want to change with original. If you can afford it and enjoy horology the $60 it is worth it for the 'swiss' factor. .If your on a budget get the asia clone. This isn't a chronograph so theres less that go wrong. Either way you will have a nice watch that you want! Personally if i was using more money for the titanium po i would fork out for the swiss. I have a swiss eta sub and an asia steel po. There is a difference. The eta feels more solid when changinging the time. The clones have weaker steams and more rattle. MPO hope I havent offended anyone :-)
  6. Tried bigger springends but that didnt work. It is a v5 but can live with the gap it isnt the UPO. Filling with a nail file is another cheapo option. Beautiful watch but the PO bracelett is not the best. Pins were impossibl to take out and is very stiff even after a soke in wd40. Thanks for the help :-)
  7. I just got my PO 42 mm from Joshua at PC. Cost $138 plus shipping. Am really impressed with it and would recommend it. I am not going to go into detail about the watch, there are many good reviews that cover this. I just wanted to know if any one has any tips for the end links? They don’t sit flush with the watch and look a bit small. Have read to try bigger spring pins but don’t know if that would work on the 42mm? I have no problems living with this, it is a rep afterall, but if someone knows a quick trick I would be very grateful.
  8. Saw this the other day, thank you Omega for developing the SMP chrono! BUT.... I still love the 'wave' dial more.. AND seriously no ceramic dial? Or is my eyesight bad? They don't say ceramic dial on the omega site. That would be a HUGE mistake!
  9. Beautiful stuff in there congratulations!
  10. Citizen keeps it real while waiting for PO from joshua.
  11. Noob tip! Never ever ever open an a7750! My bad broke the balance wheel. Thing was gaining 20 min a day. Hopefully rolexman can help. Hour timer hand had started timing even though it wasent engaged. When i bought the watch I was not a member of this wonderful forum. If i had of been then i would of seen how sensitive the a 7750 movement really is! So important that newbies educate ourselves before we buy. You live you learn! Should I service it or buy the ETA PO cr Im eyeing instead....
