  1. Looks like the big brother to my 1024... They are 18K gold capped cases, supposedly more durable in tropical climates according to the folks at VRF. Mine came from my Great-Uncle, it's from the early-60's.
  2. The devil is in the details and you nailed it! Your patience and research really paid off...it looks great! Nice work!
  3. I didn't realize OFFICIALLYCERTIFIED was one word.
  4. Sweet! An FAP caseback....nice find!
  5. Nice job Chi! You have made these dials a work of art...I love the effect...nice!
  6. Looks great M! Love the Clark's hands....so if the dial was from LH, is this an M & M's Explorer? Wonder what it tastes like
  7. Best holiday week project...ever! Chiman, your attention to detail is amazing....my favorite part of the watch is all of it! Nice work!
  8. I had the same problem with mine too! edit: mine came used from a super dude! Quick and easy fix though.
  9. I know, I've been following your progress and prototypes on the other forum... Great work!
  10. Excellent Write-up Chi! I can't wait to see your 1675 conversion...
  11. Nice work! I love what you did to the dial!
  12. It looks almost like this dial from VRF... Not a great pic, but the "R" looks the same, as well as the spacing between the coronet and the marker.... Edit: This is an "E" serial from 1990.
  13. Here's mine... The base was the MBK 6538. It is not a good way to start. The best bet would probably be a NDTrading case and go from there. I installed a MY bezel and a Brevet crown so far. It still needs a ton of work. I need a dial, hands, bezel insert, drilled lugholes, etc., etc. It's like everyone says, it's a DIY project.
  14. Very, very nice! Great pictures too. I love those 14060's...too bad no one makes a good rep.
  15. Looks great! I really like that dial. Any chance you could show us a side profile picture of the crown and case?
