  1. Shoot, I'm gonna miss it. I'm in San Diego from June 16th to the 19th. If anyone wants to kook up before then, let me know. Perhaps fill me in on the must see's of SoCal.... It's unfortunate I am just shy of the GTG, or I woud be there for sure. Unfortunately, it's a hit and run mission. I gotta return home because I will shortly be needed elsewhere. Anyways, if anyone knows San Diego, and is willing to give me a bit of insider information, it owuld be much appreciated! Robb
  2. UKmerc, Cash in an envelope is very unsafe. I wuold recommend you not do this again and transfer your funds via wire in the future. I am not saying the dealer/collector will screw you over, but a thick envelope full of can can be quite tempting to the many hands it will pass through before it get to the dealer. Hoping all works out for you!
  3. ONLY gen sun glasses for me as well - mostly Oakley (this year i will prolly go with the Gas Can model). My prescriptions are Tag's
  4. I was wearing my 111h yesterday in LGA, and noticed a gentlemen with what I am sure was a gen Pam, it was stunning, but for the life of me, I could not figure out what model he was wearing. I was flying out of LGA towards Mtl. Could it have been a member from here?
  5. I fly frequently as well; I'll keep an eye open for you anton. I fly mostly out of Montreal (YUL) and my destinations are all over the US and Canada (mostly US). BTW - If any of yous has any recommendations on how to avoid "junk" food whilst travelling, I'm all ears! I'm in NY at the moment actually, some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted in this city! Plum Tomatoes and Fromagio <-- WOW!!
  6. @Steve "Sorry about that...I clicked reply without adding my post. OK...I READ the opening post again, just like you asked me to. My original question still remains, Why was his "collectors status" revoked to begin with. As I READ in your original post for the second time, you said that he was suspended from selling and that led to the threats. Of course threats should not be tolerated - especially those that are being said he made. As far as me being aware of "T" and without him not having a place to post...please don't insinuate that I am unaware of how the fora, that we are part of, are run. I understand very well that we are all privileged to post on these fora and appreciate the ability to do so. I have been a very well respected member for quite some time on all of the rep and gen forums with zero enemies. There is no need to puff-up your chest at me 2-tone. I am one of the good guys. " The reason this fella had his collector status revoked is because he was/is not fulfilling his promises - it's really that simple. I think the Mod team did not intend on banning TTK forever, but simply made him take a "time out" until he was feeling better and able to perform his business with vigor. The resulting flurry of threats and the like simply reinforced the revocation and probably instigated the ban. I hope this cleared it up for you. I hate to speak on TT's behalf, so instead, I will speak of him; I have had a couple of phone conversations with TT, and let me tell you, I have never had a more pleasant conversation with a complete stranger! He and the rest of the admin team have my full support! Robb
  7. Neil, I really feel for you, as sight (especially to a watch collector, addict, vendor, admirer) is a very very important sense. Watches would just not be the same if you could only hear and feel them, perhaps taken to an extreme level "sniff" them and taste them. I hope you have a speedy recovery! Something you said in one of your replies, struck a chord though; ".....you suffer from that thing that I must say most Americans suffer from...."I want it...I want it now.....I'm the customer....and by God if I don't get it...hear me roar....I don't give a [censored]....I NEED my fix....NOW".....!" Now, for not wanting to open a can of worms, or creating a whole new topic on expectations and dealers - collectors... It's ALL about communication and doing what you say, I don't know how to better state this thought. Scenario; Customer orders a watch Dealer says "I have it in stock and will send it *when I receive payment*. Customer sends payment Dealer does not send watch right away, but instead sends it out 1,2 or 3 months later. I am not saying you are guilty of the above scenario, as I have not dealt with you in the past. Illness aside; Its just that your above quote scares the cr@p outta me, it sort gives me the idea that you do not have your customer's best interests at hand, and are not really bothered if you blow by your deadlines. We are your bread an butter (we meaning replica watch customers) and in my opinion, must be respected. If a dealer tells me "I do not have it in stock, I have to build it, and I can only send it in 2 months" - The decision is them mine if I want to send my money or not and wait the 2 months, If I am told that my item is in stock and can be delivered once payment is received. that is what i expect, and it has nothing to do with me being North American, or European, or whatever else. Again, we have never done business together, and the above statements are not accusations, just a comment on a quote that did not go down very well. Note - I have sent you a PM a few days back concerning your NoobSFSO model. Get well soon, I wish only the best for you your family and your health! Robb
  8. Thanks for the kind compliment on the OEM JV strap, Robb, my fellow Leo. :)

  9. @Victoria WOW -WOW! What a strap!! It's amazing
  10. Where -is- Fliplockbuckle? Haven't seen a post from him in ages.
  11. Hey all, I was reading an article about astrological signs and what signs are more proned towards luxery goods, such as watches and replica watches. For those of you would would like to answer, I would like to know what sign you are. Kindest regards, Robb
  12. About $150 for lume jobs (no pun intended) and $75 for cannon pinion mods, I would have to say that they are ressonable if not understandable prices. The watch modder is taking a risk by accepting the watch via standard shipping channels as well as taking apart a valuable (contextually speaking $100-$800) time piece, mod it and put it back toegther. All that, as well as being careful to return the watch in better condition that it was received. And remember, modding watches properly, is not easy, one needs an amazing eye for detail, especially when dealing with fanatics such as us. If the same opprotunity for substantial mods existed in other makes than Panerai, I am sure we would see similar price points for mods
  13. Right on!!! Big time eye candy!! Thanks a bunch Demonslayer. I will do a search for ajoesmith's post as well. If anyone else wants to add to this post - feel free!
