  1. Thanks very much everyone. I'm just going to let it alone.
  2. I have a BCE with an ETA movement. It tells good time, but the date changes at around 4:30 AM rather than at 12:00. I don't know whether it's worth my while to do anything about this since I really don't need to know the date before dawn Can anyone tell me what causes this and whether it would be difficult to correct?

But Monaco Jewelers in San Juan Capistrano, CA is a reputable dealer in high-end watches.
  4. I've read a lot of crazy threads on this forum, but this really is the ultimate. Could you guys possibly let the rest of us know what you are talking about? 5. Well, I'm sort of an innocent victim here. Yes, I had my wife's Yachtmaster out with Joe because the bezel was loose, and he tightened it. It took almost a year to get the watch back. However, she inadvertently wore it in the shower and we never could get rid of the moisture, so we gave up on it. The Yachtmaster I am now referring to is a new watch and has entirely different problems, and I would very much like you to repair it. I wouldn't send it to RBJ because I don't want to wait another year and make constant phone calls and send E-mails to induce him to return it.
  6. I'm having the same problem! My wife's Yachtmaster needs repair, and I can't seem to contact The Zigmeister after a number of attempts.
  7. The Zigmeister: How does one reach you? I have tried several times to send a PM and received the message: "The member has chosen not to be contactable by the board messenger."
  8. Good Lord, did I imply that homosexual thoughts, ideas, or urges were a matter of choice or that the condition might not be biologically determined? I thought that I specifically referred to "behavior." Can you imagine judging people's morality by their urges, however biologically determined? I've even had the urge to steal. Civilization consists of controlling and channeling socially destructive urges. It would be bigoted to judge people by their states of mind or emotions, but having a moral sense results in approving of some actions and disapproving of others.
  9. I wasn't aware of posting any opinion about homosexuality, politics, or religion. What I thought I was doing was criticizing some of the politically correct, high-minded moral judgments that pour out whenever someone even implies that he is less than totally accepting of homosexual behavior or any other kind of behavior.
  10. I agree. I recently bought a BCE rep with the Swiss 7750 movement for over $600. This is admittedly a great deal of money for a rep, but the genuine would have cost in the neighborhood of $4,000, and that is another league for me.
  11. Well, next time I'm still awake around 11:30 and wearing an automatic (I'm 76 years old) I'll take a close look. I really never noticed this before.
  12. Thanks very much. It's strange. None of my other watches works this way.
  13. I have a Chronomat Evolution with the Swiss 7750 movement. Everything is OK except that the date begins to change slowly around 11:30 PM and the change isn't completed until after midnight. I suppose that there is some kind of problem here, but don't know if it's worth repairing.
  14. The Seawolf was a titanium watch, and replicas were available until about a year ago when they were discontinued. I have a SS version that is a fantasy watch. It looks good but is very heavy. I believe that this SS version is also now discontinued.
  15. Da sind schon Leute hier die Deutch lesen konnen. Aber wir konnen Ihnen leider kein guter Rat geben. Veleicht werde Silex Ihre Uhren versetzen.
  16. When I tried to do that I got a pop-up box saying that the rexipient had chosen not to accept private messages.
  17. I wrote to te seller and he replied that he would send me the registration number of the watch and I could take it to a Rolex dealer. In reply to that I said that this would be easy for me since I live in New York, close to the Rolex building, which is true. So far I have not heard from him again.
  18. How do I get in touch with The Zigmeister? He doesn't take board messages. I downloaded his web page, which has detailed price listings for repairs but no contact information.
  19. I asked Eddie Lee a question about the differences between the Asian and Swiss 7750 movements in the BCE and, as usual, received an answer couched in his usual cryptic style in about 20 minutes. Do not send PMs; he rarely reads them. Use his e-mail address: sunshine300@shaw.ca.
  20. Are you saying that this is a replica or only that it's an awful watch?
  21. Well, is this because it's a diver's watch and the BCE says 300 meters because it's not? Or is 300m a mistake on the BCE also?
  22. Don't all the Breitling reps have 300m? My BCE has this also. Are you sure 300m is wrong?
  23. What makes you think this is a replica?
