  1. Might want to try Jacobs Straps. I have used his services twice and the quality of the work is second to none in my book. http://www.jacobstraps.com/en/ Sent him an email and he will send you a way to measure your watch and get that custom strap that it deserves. Very nice watch you got there.
  2. Welcome to RWG. There is definitely lots of info in here. Lots of reviews of both trusted dealers and their products. I personally have learned things from reading all the threads that I would never know without this site. Good luck in your purchase.
  3. I'm not sure what happened to my post with pictures, seems to have disappeared. Just would like to say thanks to @FixrAndy for the suggestion of ordering from Jacob Straps. (www.jacobstraps.com) I originally was going to order an alligator strap but after some consideration I eventually ordered a black calfskin with red stitching. This strap would be for my IWC that I purchased while on vacation in the Philippines. (cheaper rep) I received my straps after a bit more than a month of patiently waiting ( Jacob apologized for the delay due to being extremely busy) and I have to admit that Jacob is one hell of a craftsman. The material quality is outstanding and the stitching is perfect. The final product is well worth the wait and I would definitely recommend him as well to anyone looking for a replacement strap.
  4. Same here. Made a nice write up about a custom strap I received and the post and pics are gone. Whats up with that?
  5. Welcome. Lots of stuff to learn here. Plenty of help from great members.
  6. Just received my PAM 196 rep from Trusty Time and I love it. Got the watch in less than 10 days from purchase date too. This is my first PAM rep and watch feels good and looks very similar to the gen. Initial finds are the strap feels a little stiff and plastic-like but I guess I have to wear it for a while to break it in. Tachymeter numbers seem to be a bit on the thin side compare to a gen as well. (based on pictures i have seen). I'm new to the PAM reps so I'm sure there are more differences than I know of but looks close enough for me. Going to read up on how to take some good shots and post them up. Just being a little over zealous here.
  7. Thank you sir. After a couple of emails, I ordered my Black Alligator skin strap today!
  8. Thanks. I emailed them last night asking for details and waiting for an answer. How do you like the quality of you strap?
  9. I'm not sure if this is the place to post but I need the forums help in finding a nice strap for my Ingeniuer series rep. I have had this rep for a year now and love it. I get compliments all the time on the watch but unfortunately the rubber strap it came with has given way. I have tried Trusty Time and Perfect Clones and both have said that they are no longer available. I kind of find that hard to believe as they still sell the same reps. Any members out there know of a seller that sells a nice strap (any material at this point) so that I can keep using the watch as a daily? Not really looking to spend $400+ on a gen strap at this point. TIA for any help offered. Thanks,
  10. Came across this auction on Ebay and it looks like a fake to me. (its got the colored screws) I'm sort of new to all this but have been learning and reading a lot on this forum. Maybe someone with more knowledge could take a look and see what you think. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tag-Heuer-Grand-Carrera-Calibre-36-RS-/271472917694?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3f350bfcbe
  11. Can't say that I have. I have heard both good and bad things about it. Friend of mine has showed me a couple of pieces (IWC) from there and I was not impressed. Very cheap feel and quality. Have you had any luck downtown?
  12. Thank you for this very useful info. About to order a couple reps and this info will be very useful in understanding the QC results.
  13. No kidding! Started with Tags', now the PAMs' and the APs' look oh so tempting! Feel like a 12 year old at a toy store!
