I just received my brand new watch and I must say I am very impressedit is absolutely beautiful. my problem is I noticed a shadow under a corner of the Cyclops lens. The shadow seems to only show up in certain angles. It looks like the bondage to the crystal is compromised. is this possibly a AR coating illusion or do I need to worry about the lens falling off? has anyone purchased this watch and noticed something similar to what I am seeing?
Is the v3 noob Submariner the newest one to date? As I'm surfing the rep sites I am noticing this watch being titled 'newest edition v3' , 'newest edition v4' , newest edition v3.something.. Could someone please tell me which one is the newest one available?
All of their pictures are of gen watches that they found on google. I always try to leave comments on their review page to warn their potential victims but they never get published. I hate scammers!
Actually looking at it again.. the upgrade is for a swiss 2836 2 . There is no eta. I was mistaken on the eta part. Should I add this upgrade Actually looking at it again.. the upgrade is for a swiss 2836 2 . There is no eta. I was mistaken on the eta part. Should I add this upgrade
Thx for response GenTLe. so basically what you're saying is it's not really a wise investment to add the $180 upgrade for a (swiss 2836 25j movement)? the one that the watch comes with is an Asian 2836 25j which is I guess is the asian clone of a swiss eta2836? I just don't know for sure if adding the $180 UPGRADE is better, the same or worthless. I figured ordering from purtime it would be a legitament upgrade seeing as they have a great reputation on here. Am I wrong? Should I just get the noob explorer ii with the asian2836 25j for $328 and call it a day?
Ya, I think I will go for the eta. Hope I get a good one. I am aware of the hand stack on reps. I wish there was a solid reliable solution for that. Thanks for everyones input in helping me make my choice. I am new to RWG.. Great forum! Thx again!!
GenTLe, can I ask you another question? should I invest the extra $180 for the Swiss ETA 2836 on the explorer ii or just go for the Asian 2836. I've read a lot of mixed opinions about the GMT watches not working well with the swiss ETA. I've also read a lot of post of folks paying for the swiss ETA and getting an asian copy anyway. any advice?
BTW, does anyone know about the Swiss ETA option? is it really a Swiss ETA or just an Asian copy that they price gouge to make you think its really swiss.. I always believed that my old one had a Swiss ETA but who knows.
