  1. I'm also a newbie to the rep game, joined here after making a hasty purchase. Anyway I'm also looking at Trusty for a sub rep. I fancy the 16610 but again I'm trying to decide if the ROLSUB108A or the ROLSUB108C is the one to go for. The only difference I can tell is the movement, would the Asian 2824/3135 movement be worth the money over the 2813? I'm not sure if I'm correct on this but is the 2824/3135 an Asian clone of an ETA movement made to look like a Rolex movement and also it has a higher beat than the 2813? ROLSUB108A http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7&products_id=10893 ROLSUB108C http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7&products_id=10895
  2. I would never give up any of my mechanical watches for one of these but I defy anyone to not show some appreciation for the engineering that is involved in creating what is basically one of the most technologically advance gadgets on the planet. Maybe I'm on the wrong forum but I admire advances in technology. But I have to repeat I would never give up any of my real watches whether rep or gen for one of these. Something like this isn't meant to compete with a real watch but I bet they will sell more than a lot of watch companies.
  3. pretty tempted and then keep an eye out for a dial as you say, not keen on the polished centre links on the bracelet though. So would this be what is described as a "sterile" rep?
  4. Came across this site while doing my usual googling while the wife watches soap operas. Does anyone know much about this company or the replica they are selling, obviously the dial isn't printed and blank but it bears an uncanny resemblance to some of the other 16610 reps I've seen. It can be found here http://www.sizzlinwatches.com/proddetail.php?prod=custom_sub_blk&cat=21 and here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-built-Submariner-Diver-Automatic-watch-Ceramic-bezel-/191307578690?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c8ad1fd42
  5. Probably more than I should have from what I'm reading on here. Sent from miPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the link GenTLe, some lunch time reading for me. So much to read and learn.
  7. Thanks Nightwatch, the 16600 isn't one I had come across but after a quick google it will certainly be added to the list to consider. There are so many options opened up when you start considering reps it's crazy.
  8. Hey thanks for the response, off to do a bit more digging/searching on the 21J now.
  9. Hi all, just joined the forum in the last few days, bought a replica Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 22015100 from a friend of a friend and it sparked my interest to see what was out there. I then came across this site as I was googling replicas and I have to say I'm blown away at the knowledge and skill shown by people on this here. I've included some pics of the replica as I have no idea of the origin or what movement is in it (no markings on the movement). Probably paid too much for it but as a newbie it was an impulse buy and well probably not much more can be said about it. My watch box currently has a gen Tag Carrera Twin Time Calibre 7 WV2115-0, a Seiko SKX007, a Raymond Weil 4817 and an Accurist something or other in addition to this PO. So here are a few shots of my PO, interested to hear opinions one way or the other and if anyone can identify the movement that would be great. Not expecting a great response to this watch to be honest so go for it I've got pretty thick skin

I'm really now on the look out for a Rolex Sub (prob a 116610 or a 16110) as many newbies are I guess so will be spending a fair amount of time reading up before I make any decisions. Not sure how it will wear on my skinny 6.5 inch wrists and have to get my head round all the different manufacturers and resellers. Will try to refrain from asking any stupid newbie questions. So here are a few shots of my PO, interested to hear opinions one way or the other and if anyone can identify the movement that would be great.
  11. I'm in the same boat as you, trying to work out what is what, there is so much info on this site it is spinning my head, Gonna read a good bit more before I make any decisions.
  12. newbie here with a million questions, read so much my head is spinning at the moment trying to decide if I'm fancying the 116610 or the 16610. Anyway will read a whole lot more before I ask any stupid questions. Trying hard to notice all the small details but finding it tough.
  13. thanks for that, much needed for the newbie that I am. Gonna do an introduction post in a bit.
  14. Hey, also from the UK and just recently signed up. I've just got a PO replica but not through any advice here, thats mainly why I've signed up
