  1. That is the one. Ah, the horror... Posts like that, one never sees on RepGeek or RWI. 😄 And, it is posted in a section called «watch repair and upgrade»..
  2. Soviet dive watches (and cameras..) are a very interesting topic! Considering the hike in rep prices, they are bargains. (And there is also Indian hmt watches, if you will go even cheaper) 8-) Anyway, one old thread got to my mind the other day. Nanuqs post about how much abuse a replica watch could take.. A poor Sub got trashed by his SUV, burnt and drowned... It must be close to 15 years ago, but those pictures still haunts me. 😄
  3. Been a long time since I posted. I remember when I joined the old RWG back in 2004, one of the first post I read was some oldtimers who talkes about how everything was better in the good old days. This was a nice place on the net for many years. I truly enjoyed doing reviews and guides, and receiving nice Feedback. I migrated more or less over to Repgeek, which are more up to date with discussions on new reps. Not very active there either. Life moved on, and I felt I was happy with the watches I had. Anyway, I have setteled down with wife and one kid, 7 years old. When he was born I bought a 16750, 1984 model. Just before the prices went sky high. I also have a vintage 1975 Air-King, which is a birth year watch. That is all my expensive gens. I am not all done with reps, but buy less than one a year. Last rep is IWC mark xvi, tribute to mark xi. Nice watch. I was tempted by the Oris vintage diver, but it is too similar to other watches I have. Still have my iwc ingenieur, with Lello date wheel overlay. Anyone remembering those? 🙂 That is one rep I will never sell. A Seamaster Bond from the «closed factory» is also a keeper. Also have some watches which have received the treatment from The Zigmeisterzumba! Still wishing for a true Speedmaster and a good Navitimer replica. 🙂
  4. Chris. Please contact me regarding the gen Omega Speedmaster I bought from you on RG two months ago, but still have not received..

  5. There is released an "ultimate" of this. The new version is way better. Uses decorated ETA-clone, just as the gen uses Sellita .. Sapphire with AR-coating, better caseback, dial and hands! Even the buckle and the number plate on the side of the case looks true. It is expensive though, above 300 USD.. http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=113&product_id=1762 http://www.intime.co/zenith/2341-pilot-type-20-extra-special-v6f-1-1-best-edition-ss-45mm-black-dial-on-brown-asso-strap-a2824.html Also available on Puretime,http://www.puretime.watch/product/pilot-type-20-extra-special-ss-45mm-v6f-11-best-edition-on-brown-asso-strap-a2824/ I havn't bought a new rep in two years, but maybe this convinces me to step in the ring again.
  6. Great to see a nice replica of this. It has two classic rep tells: Too short minute hand, and shallow engravings on the caseback. But all things considered, a nice watch.
  7. Use a flat, sharp knife or razor blade..? Great review, can't belive I missed this.
  8. Thanks for the photos. Good illustrations.
  9. That seems excellent! Thanks! I looked at Ofrei and Esslinger, but forgot about good old Cousins UK. Finally some with a good presentation of the measurements!
  10. The threads on the case tube on my Sinn U1 homage are sheared. I have removed the old tube, but can't figure out where I can order a correct replacement.. Can anyone help? :-)
  11. Good effort in illustrating the shortcomings to PC. :-) The minor flaws should be easy to rectify. The chronograph hands are all too "fat". Slender hands are a part of the vintage spirit of the Navi. Is there any thread where Josh and Trusty "promote" this watch? It could be interesting to read their takes on the launch of this Navitimer and which future versions there will be... I bet that this white version, with wrong subdial hands, is not the final version... Not after all the work to get the datewheel right. :-)
  12. Great watch. :-) The decoration on the rotor and movement seems to be well done. I have the old Tangomat replica, also a nice watch, which I did a review on back in 2012. The subseconds on the new are in a different position compared to the old rep? Maybe different Nomos-movements. Caseback of the gen:
  13. Waiting eagerly for the classic "panda version", with black dial and white subdials.. That is THE Navitimer. Strange that the launched the white version with some obvious errors.. The classic version, without the stupid small flaws would have made an impact.
  14. Suprising that this lauch has not received more attention in here. A good, classic Navitimer has been one of the "unicorns" in the replica-business..along with a proper Speedmaster Pro. This one seems to be good enough for me to buy my first new replica for quite some time. Shame about the non-functional minute counter, but I prefer a non-recessed date.
