How do phong's complete watches compare to TCs? is there much difference? If so, what are the differences?

Hi all, Need some expert knowledge. I've had a couple of TC v6s in the last 2 years and they've been perfect, other than the raised/thicker SEL midlinks when compared to the gens. I purchased a gen 93250 bracelet cos it bothered me, but then found that the gen SEL fit fractions of millimetres too small (my lug widths are 20.15mm wide) resulting in a not-too-perfect loose fit. I've seen in a few pics of TC's latest 16610LV that the thickness of the SEL midlink has been reduced and looks a lot more like the gen. Can anyone confirm this? Am I seeing things, or have v4/v3 TC 93250s been installed on the pics I've seen? Thanks

I did (in this order): Bezel insert Crystal Bracelet Crown Based on a TC v6. The lugs are very slightly wider than 20mm, unfortunately so gen bracelet doesn't sit snug

Thanks for the advice! I was looking at Toro's stock for the 318 and 247, but in recent days, have started to lean towards either a 005 noob or 111 noob v3. The dial of the 111 looks amazingly accurate, but the glassback would be a tell, even with the incabloc mod. Netniet, your mods look fantastic! Was it expensive to get it all done, if you don't mind me asking? The 005 looks great too, but I've read that the sausage lume can look quite different from a gen. Any experience between those two?

The sausage lume on the 005 is that off? If the incabloc mod is done on the 111, would that be a significant improvement, or are there many more inaccuracies? Any idea whether the sausage lume has been improved on the latest noob v2.5?

Hi, I've been looking to get a Panerai and have been researching for a while. I've been looking ideally in the luminor range with the second hand at 9, with no date, with manual wind. I'm after a super-rep and was quite keen on the noob PAM111 v3 with asian movt with incabloc mod after doing some reading. But after some additional reading, decided that that there would be several tells on the glassback movement as I can't imagine a rep movement would be finished anywhere as nicely as a gen and that all it would take is some misprinted colour printing of the brand, for example, to give it away, in addition to issues with the swan neck, etc. So then I decided that a covered case back would be the way to go, so I pored through ALE's PAM reference guide and given my criteria above, managed to find 2 models that fit my criteria: PAM 318 (N factory) PAM 247 (H factory) What are your thoughts on these 2 models? Anybody have one of these, and if so, how do you rate it? What are the major and minor tells? Are there any other luminor super reps out there I should be considering? Thanks!

Looking to add another mod to my current TC based frankensub. Following are the gen components so far: 93250 bracelet bezel insert crystal (with LEC) bezel click spring Looking to add a gen crown. Are both gen 703 and 704 crowns compatible? Is a gen tube essential? Where is the best source for a reasonably priced crown? I've seen someone suggest that it's possible to get gen crowns for USD$50...is this true? Thanks!
