Voted for the dark one. Personally I think it looks better - particularly with the pearl in place!!!! I have never been into this patina thing - just doesn't do it for me.

Bloopdad Don't try using WU online to pay. Tried this a few weeks ago to purchase a watch from a TD in China. WU rang me and wanted to know the date of birth and telephone number of the person I was sending the money to. As I couldn't provide those details - and had no intention of creating any embarrassment by asking the TD for them - WU declined to send the money and cancelled the transaction. If you are going to use WU, use their site to try and find one of their agents in your local area and visit there in person so you make your payment through the agent. The server upgrade was supposed to take place on Monday. But as I suggested in the General discussion thread, there is always the possibility that matters deteriorated rather rapidly forcing the upgrade to take place sooner than was planned.

Yesterday I read a notice on the front page of RWI that a new server was going to be installed on Monday which would involve about 6 hours downtime. Perhaps matters have deteriorated that much and that installation had to be brought forward?

Well it's about time I posted an introduction having been around the forum for quite a while. I am, predominately, a collector of pocket watches but also have a collection of some "lower" priced wrist watches my pride and joy being a Bulova Accutron 218 tuning fork watch made in 1976 - just love the hum that watch makes. Because I am on a somewhat reduced income compared to when I was working full time, I know full well that I will never be able to afford a gen Rollie or Omega. So needless to say I have come to the "darkside" of things. I am absolutely amazed at the quality of what is now being produced, the detail is now getting to be second to none. The only problem there is that the prices are going up BUT, if you want quality then you pay the price. I have done a lot of reading on here and have no intention of making the typical "noobs" mistakes that I have seen. If I do, then flame away!!!! I will only have myself to blame for it. What I will be looking for will be a Rollie and an Omega that I like the look of but will not discount IWC, TAG and Breitling. The brands I won't be looking for are AP,Panerai and Hublot - they really do not do it for me. But then each to their own taste on that one. From what I have read on RWI, their new server should be put in place on Monday. PM's, apparently, are working for some people - possibly those using Tapatalk - but not for others. I certainly can't access my PM's on there. Just a case of wait and see what happens on Monday. Regards
