  1. Hey guys!! I noticed that ken aka kb aka bergies hasnt been active on the forum since his fathers passing. However he had always been my go to guy in terms of buying suits jackets and hermes bags.. he is very helpful kind and patient. However now that he isnt so active anymore - do you guys know if anyone is continuing his business or if you guys know where i can get things with the same quality if not better than kb? Thanks guys
  2. hey sogeha, thanks for ur reply.. hmm i sort of expected what u said.. but you did mention to get to just get the rep? and yes im all for reps.. but right at this moment, though i am not one to want to pass a rep as a gen.. my work in a way sort of need to "pass off a gen as a rep" as in my clients (yes im in sales, and lets just say that im in the automotive industry?), sometimes are people that judge what you wear, especially if they work in the luxury retail industry, some even work in AD's!! and theyre usually the most judgemental!.. and somehow i need to pull the watch thing off too? so i wonder if the reps available atm (ARF?) would embarass me in situations?
  3. hey guys how are you? im an old member of rg but for a long time i haven't been active much on the rep scene for a long time - so in a way my knowledge is really back to zero or close to non-existance. but i am interested in building a franken sea dweller 4000 reference 126600 (ceramic bezel).. i've tried to read here in the rolex section in the past few hours, but can't seem to find answers.. so if i could get help from the rollie experts here i would appreciate it. my question is what would be the best base watch to use for this project? to achieve the most accurate (aesthetic wise) to the gen with the least cost? i just want the franken to look undistinguishable from the outside to the gen - movement or the inside doesn't really matter to me. and which gen parts should i acquire, if possible any ideas on where i can get the gen parts from? from what i gather the gen parts that i really need to make an accurate sd 4000 would be - gen dial, yuki movement with gen datewheel, gen hands (tudor? if possible?), gen crystal, gen bezel insert (or full bezel assembly?), gen crown and tube. where as case and bracelet i can just use the ARF? once again thanks guys.. any advice from you guys in creating this project would be appreciated.
  4. How would you compare the h factory 127 vs noob 111 in terms of accuracy though and thanks in advance
  5. hey hey nanuq.. who else is back last night? lol dont get me excitedddd... from what i've read pam 111 N series from the noob maker is really good? what are the flaws in these? and what about the noob 127E? coming back after along time makes me have tht nostalgia of when i first joined
  6. hi guys.. ive been gone for so long and finally i had the time to post back in this forum.. and literally looking to buy a new rep... ive spent the past 2-3 hrs reading the forum; and gathered there has been alot of changes in the rep world since the last time i was here... last time i was active in this forum.. there was really no good panerai rep and the only viable and good panerai was radiomir 288... now i was browsing around at angus' website and i see alot of 1:1's... browsing through the forum, i couldnt really get the answer to what i was looking for though... but please do not be angry at my question - because it is so noob... but what is the current most accurate super-rep panerai (radiomir 288-not included - i heard this rep has no flaw?) available? and what are the flaws in each of the model you've stated?
  7. hi guys ive been out of the rep scene for almost a year now.. and im trying to search for datejust II reps info.. however couldnt manage to find anything.. so i would go back to being a noob and what are the flaws, and how close are the datejust II rep available out of the box nowadays?
  8. Hi guys. Its been a really long time that i have been here. But Lately i caught an ap bug and wanted a rose gold ap watch. But what would be the most accurate form of rose gold ap secs @12 out there? I heard the rubberclad is very accurate? But how is the rubber and the quality of the rose gold plating? Would a montoya be better? Thanks in advance
  9. Hi guys how are you? I am looking for the most accurate rep watches for the ladies. I'm not really familiar with the whole ladies watch world.. So if anyone can tell me I'd appreciate it. This is for my sister who is getting married. I want to give it to her as a special gift.. Thanks in advance guys she is fine with them, as she knows i collect them and no one has ever called out on me.. so she said one time that if i could find a really really nice and accurate looking rep and for that she never be called out.. she wants me to get her one.. thats y im asking thanks guys whatever brands are ok (she did like the twenty4 pp), so any accurate watches? thanks guys
  10. hey guys.. nitpicking is a good thing in some way for noobs like me who doesnt know how to nitpick a panerai.. it kind of educates us.. so other than the movement what other flaws are there on this watch?
  11. hey man.. i know its still not done yet.. and i think most ppl know that im still looking for a good pre-v case for along time.. but do you by chance know how much is the case going to cost (approx?) in the end? i will definitely take one tho.. im not on here much at all anymore but ill check back every now and then.. so would it b possible if you pm me when its done? i will definitely take 1 even if it means selling all of my reps as i want to finish my 202 project
  12. That looks yummy!! So kruzer is making pre v cases?? Is there any pre order list?? I want to upgrade to platinum but right now my budget is a bit tight so I don't think I can till sometimes next year but if I could go on his pre v case pre order list I defibitely will get 1 off him
  13. Hey lani. I got the case today it looks perfect for a pre v but there's only problem with the strap notch? Where there is a dimple on the lug area.. From my understanding no pre v case has this?? It seems to be smaller (the dimples) than other pam cases but its still there. Does the gen have a small dimple? Or its not there at all? Thanks man
  14. thanks for the compliment of the photos man.. yeah that was my point in the first place of opening this thread.. i wanted to really show how beautiful the eod is in real life.. ive always wanted a pvd watch... and of the available pvd ap's my pick was eod or lv strip.. at the start i thought the eod with the yellow would suck.. until i received it.. my jaw dropped.. it has to be one of the most beautiful watch ive ever seen in my life.. now i understand why people would pay 51k for it
  15. i dont think pvd wears off.. u can ding it and scratch it.. but it shouldn't wear off .. but scratched up pvd gives the watch character imo.. unless ur gonna sell it in the future
  16. ahh i like wearing them high in the arms.. and that was worn on the last hole too :S.. maybe my wrist is just too small
  17. hey guys not many have been seen of the eod.. i got this watch 2 days ago.. and im in love with it.. any comment is appreciated.. sorry for the fact that i dont have many pics of it.. but hey a wristie is a wristie
  18. thanks for the replies guys.. so if the restaurant business isn't really a good option.. what industry do you think is making high growth at the moment? i just finished my uni degree and i really want to start somewhere but in a way im still doing some research into where i should put my money into atm thanks guys
