  6. Hi, I've been away for some time but now I'm back and wanting to buy a new watch...I've been looking around in the various sellers but would like to know if you guys have any advices on which watch to buy...I mean this in terms of quality mainly...I must admit I'm a bit biased to breitlings, bell&ross, Hublot, Panerai and U-Boat but would gladly accept advice for other watches... Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thks,
  7. Hi all, it's been a long time since I've been around...lot of life changes...but all good....I hope to become, again, a regular around this great place. My question: A couple of years ago I bought a B&R 03-92 from ptswiss, it was the one with the blue dial and with a 28,000 swiss movement...in the meantime I broke the crown stem...(not to easy to take it out..)and as such I cannot use the watch...I spoke with ptswiss but they no longer have the watch nor the ability to procure a replacement part...can anyone help me? If not a perfect rep is going in the drawer for not being able to find this part... ny help would be greaty appreciated... Thks in advance. Francisco

  10. Hi, it's been a long time since I last posted here, been very busy...anyways...I few months back, well a lot of months back, I posted some pics (here ) of a breitling datora that my faher gave me on my 18th birthday (he bought it in 1972)...Last year I met a watchsimth that works in my city for a Rolex dealer and asked him if he could have a look at my watch. He did a full movement service, made it work as knew and also did a bit of restoration on the outside, not too much....just some "scratch cleaning" and gave it a cleaner look...so...after all this time, hee are some pics of the watch I have my digital camera with some problem so I had to take the pics with my mobile, also, I don't have with me the tool to open the caseback, so you'lol have to wait a bit more for the movement pics well...enough rambling.... I'm very happy and been using it everyday since I got it (last week)...it's beautifull..I think cheers

  22. Hi all! I've been away for some time but I think you will understand as my 1st two incursions into rep buying were not the best experiences... First I bought a Pam111h from TWP (back in December 2007)...it never came, never got the money back as he disappeared...Then I bought a Slevin from PT (January 2007), perfect transaction, fast shipment, watch arrived in perfect conditions...so I decided to get it even better....I wanted double AR and a change of the DT to Gen ETA so I send it to.......Kajub...it got there, he received the watch...1st try on the AR run got an error he said he would do another one... finally, all taken care and he said he would send me the watch back (I had already paid for all the services). I waited, waited, waited...nothing...sent an email to Kajub and he said he already sent the watch and would check it with in the post office....waited, waited, waited.....nothing, so I sent another email (this was already some 4 months after I 1st send the watch)...he said that he didn't know what happened but that he would refund me the watch, he would send his own slevin with double ar and gen ETA dt....again, I waited, waited...nothing...sent an email....nothing, another, nothing...another...nothing...and finally I found out of his troubles, not replying to emails, etc, and in the end...a total disapearence all together...so...no watch and no money... So, after my 1st two "adventures" in rep world...around 700-750eur loss and no watch...so I thought I would take a break... In that time I bought a gen Tissot Lim. Ed. Portugal Seven Wonders, a lim. ed. to Portugal 7 wonders...I though it would be a nice 1st buy. It's a classic design and suits me in all occasions... In the last month I decided that I was ready to get back into the hunt...so I looked around and decided to buy a B&R03-92 from PT and I'm now waiting for it...I bought it Wednesday and it will problably arrive Monday or Tuesday, so I can't wait... Well, sorry for the long post but just wanted to share this with you guys...it's great to be back... In the meantime I'll leave you with some pics of the Tissot and hopefully I'll put some of the BR Tuesday:) Cheers
  23. 1sy of all, thks for all the effort Francisco (great name by the way lol), it made a very interesting and informative read. I'me very much eager to learn about the portuguese version as this is one of my dream watches and I would love to buy one if there was a reliable movement... Again, thks for all your input and hope to see the portuguese review... All the best
  24. Well, I just bought one today from Precious Time, it was in stock so it should be here around next Tuesday, I suppose..if you want I 'll put some pics here when it arrives for you to see how it is. Mine is the swiss ETA Cheers
  25. I have an aquatimer with him...he said he sent the watch but nothing here, he offered to send the money by wire transfer...I sent him my iban and that was the last reply I got from him...this was probably in august........
