  1. I'll put on that diver strap you got on the Fiddy for it (OEM Caoutchouc-style). Otherwise, I can place the more usual 24mm one, which might show a lot of lugwire though. I'm not doing both even for you. Radiomirs are a PAIN to change straps. @Followup: Try RWI's sales section. They have those rubber straps much more often than here...if you want a cheap one, Tony can get it for you, I'm sure! I got mine from TWP. @#2: Gotcha. I'll try to shoot these in 2 hours, as I'm only just waking up. ...meanwhile, this shouldn't prevent any other member from providing a photo of said strap on the Radiomirs! Please. Help a brother out.
  2. TeeJay, do you know I never even THOUGHT of putting my 210 on a rubber strap? And mind, the 210 looks best with black straps. I'm a bit lazy today, but I promise to give you a rubber diver strap shot on my (only working) Radiomir later today! @TeeJay below: The 45mm/47mm Radiomirs are said to look best with the 27/22mm straps, so slightly larger than the 26mm ones, but tapered down. HOWEVER, I have put on my Fiddy straps (26mm) on them, and they're fine. Heck, I even place the 24mm on them too...they expose too much of the lug wires, though. Not the way to go.
  3. Without getting too sidetracked in a thread about fake eggs, I do however thank you for your informative reply, Raijor. I'd just like to say that whilst I agree with you, from what I know of Canadian politics what you said is fairly true, I can surmise you live in Eastern Anglo-dominant Canada: you forgot the Bloc Qu
  4. Hitting the Search button under "Scam sites", Prince, I found several threads with great info: Dax's recent comprehensive scam site list http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=376144 Jawo's scam site list http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=354592 E.g.: Bestswiss is on the former link. These aren't official forum lists or anything, but still good guides to help you out. Good luck.
  5. Just got back from my party. I drank a demi bottle of champagne, and I have to tell you, either it's the grapes or the time, but I actually understood this post, POTR. Except I read 4D target, as WD-40 target. Bed calls I think. Hope you guys are safe and sound.
  6. And it shows. This watch looks impeccable against the houndstooth scarf. More shots like these?? Please M. Pix! Can't wait for the next part! @Pix: Thanks! It's my new wallpaper now, for the New Year. @Pix Followup: NICE! 3 new wallpapers. I chose the yellowish one, which looks elegant and cheerful. What a beautiful watch...
  7. Come on, Chieftang! Let's party like it's 1989! Champagne's on me. ...see you on this thread tomorrow.
  8. Here is the real one! Beautiful. And less than $100.
  9. Thanks for the all the replies to this last pictorial review of 2007. Since the Patek Sky Moon Tourbillon rep is the only watch I have which changes YEAR, tonight I'll be keen to see if this works. Can a $108 change at the stroke of midnight to a whole new year? Do you have a watch that turns calender year too? (Just checked. No, it's the Vacheron Constantin Retrograding Calender. But the question still stands!)
  10. MONDAY P4GTR is right. Go Big or Go Home! I'm seeing in the New Year tonight with my gold Omega, a Cartier tennis bracelet, and to go with my all-white evening dress, a Fendi cocktail clutch. Goodbye 2007... TUESDAY Hello 2008!! The girl on Lincoln Road with the Bvlgari Diagono Sport Ladies watch, Narikaa's Mont Blanc fountain pen, and the Italian diary will be me. ...be safe, RWG; Happy New Year's! @Coolfire: Happy birthday!
  11. Gotcha. On that happy note, may I wish you & Mrs. P a very Happy New Year, Pugwash!
  12. The LAT are not Socialist, they're liberal in the American sense, Pugwash. But then you know that, right? Liberal in Europe = pro-free-market economy known loosely as "globalisation" Liberal in North America = anything left of centre Of course, there are the Canadian Red Tories. Not sure how that works out. I think your point would've been stronger without the accidentally-on-purpose-wink-wink-nudge-nudge strikeout.
  13. Heh. It is the LAT, CT. I personally always enjoy the unsubtle cheerleading that overcomes certain people when speaking of China versus the USA. "Under the old figures, China was predicted to pass the United States as the world's largest economy in 2012. That isn't going to happen." And a sober parting shot for the New Year, in case anyone was thinking of actually having FUN in the West: "But don't pop the champagne corks. It is bad news that billions of people are significantly poorer than we thought." Quite so. Let's hope they can lay their hands on their fake eggs, and fake medicines, and anything else that is fake that affects people's HEALTHS...and throw them away.
  14. Your skipping paid off. That is a BEAUTY. As for me, like everyone today, I am SUPER busy; tomorrow too. The forum might be down for a few days at that. So I hope I will have time to post a Wristie but if not, see you all in 2008. God willing.
  15. My best wishes for a healthy, prosperous and serene New Year to all the members of RWG!
  16. Thanks, Stevie! As I posted earlier, I got the Zoji dual. I have a funny feeling I may not like the coffee (for the reason Tech said; before I used colourless filters because I don't the taste of coffee in white filters...), so I'll keep this in mind. Though Rima's in-laws were not pleased with it, both you and JFreeman suggest the same Mr. Coffee maker. I can tell by the Infiniti clock dial. Everyone who responded was of GREAT help to me, however. (If I do get it, I'll go to where you suggest. I've never been to Walmart, but unlike Paris Hilton, I know they don't sell walls there) Thanks again, and a very Happy New Year!
  17. Coupled with the fact that China's economic growth turns out is much less than calculated, seems the yolks on them. http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/sunday...nday-commentary
  18. I was terribly interested in this Zojirushi brand, after scouting the coffee forums where the one you pictured, Xyphis, received glowing reviews (next to the Capresso Coffee Team ones, which had the burr grinder built-in. A bit redundant for me). Since you and Watchdude mentioned the Zojis, but having already gotten the also phenomenally-reviewed Aeropress, I went with the red-headed stepsister version. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000068PCQ Price: $20.00 (!) I took into consideration what another member said, that grinding beans just before brewing is imperative (which I do, religiously). I wanted the bells-and-whistles, but like a tachymetre scale, chronograph, and helium valve in our watches, these programmable features in a coffee maker I will rarely use, and my father less. Its very small footprint ultimately swayed me. Unfortunately, it looks a bit low-rent, doesn't it. But basically it's the same idea -- a thermal carafe coffeemaker. We'll see. Thanks people! May your beans be lovely and roasted in 2008.
  19. I am disturbingly aroused.
  20. Does you never looks at the Wristchecks, Yellomen?? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=377721 Pix showed his new B&M Riviera AND said he's going to review it soon (his reviews are SUPERB).
  21. Dluddy, I'm not much for brown straps (they look more masculine on me, despite having bought a few recently!) -- but that Anacardo looks the very thing on your 036! Can you tell me your overall impressions on the Anacardo? It's been on sale recently, but I didn't pull the trigger.
  22. Guys, I've often read that our Chinese collectors are impossible to buy from during Chinese New Year. As we approach our New Year, when do you suggest members start preparing for this slowdown, which comes later in 2008, on February 7? Does one just not expect anything to arrive in late February? Can you share some "horror" stories about delays or dealings? Things like, are some collectors better than others, during this time. Newer members could definitely benefit from the info. Thanks! @Rodwc: Thanks! 2008 = Year of the Rat, BTW. Earth Rat, not Metal Rat...
  23. http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.as...;ItemId=137fee5 Pennys has it for $3,249.99. Usually, $4,200.00. Haven't been in a JCPenny's store for maybe a decade. I'm glad to see they've upgraded from their Mr. Coffee image...but 3.500, wow. Mind you, if there are $2000 grinders, that's a steal.
  24. You have great good fortune, Mr. Dentist! You are in the same forum as Kenberg, who has his own "Accessories" section here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=127 From Bergies, you can find that Chlo
