  1. I am right in my assumption about PT am i not?

He's trustworthy, but the method is not. I've never heard of such a thing.

I wouldn't repeat this kind of transaction again, UkMerc. No other dealer requests such a type of payment. It's PayPal, Moneygramme, Moneybookers, and Western Union, 99% of the time -- even if in the same country.

  2. I will rather have wildlife and nature, air ,water, rainforest, then 1billion people more on this planet.

Between human beings and the rest, I'll choose human beings every time.

If all teknoligi was to go away i woud be one of the first to be happy, lets get down to basic

Wow, I never took you for a Luddite, Dani.

Ironically, you share the same opinion as Wahabbists.

  3. I Googled "Gordon Ramsay Timepiece" and found a link in the Rolexforums:

    hxxp://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=28157

One person suggested it was the "Asprey No. 8 chronograph". I think that's CLOSE. This is the Asprey's No. 8 Dual-Time.

What do you think? The lugs are identical and straps are identical.

    aspreysno8dualtimerx6.jpg

Or maybe it IS the No. 8 Chronograph?

...like many husband's (hi FxrAndy!), he allows his missus to wear his watches. This is his wife Tana wearing the Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Avenger (correction). ;)

  4. The crown guard looks very corum so does the dial.

For me, this half-moon design is the clincher. GOD WHAT IS IT. Azimuth?? Alpina??

    post6dn1.jpg

I'm taking out my 2008 Wristwatch Annual to search for it.

EDIT: Dani, this is the closest Corum I found that matches. Don't think it is a Corum.

  5. Aha! I knew it!

I'm on the phone AT THIS MOMENT with my fully-Italian speaking boyfriend.

    He says that's nuts.

    It's Panerista/Milanista/etc. for men! :p

@Nembo: Grazie tanti! :) ...just to note, that's not my bf. He's an Interista. :hammer:

  6. Joann, just deleted this Panerai bit from the older thread. Here is my response (this might be moved to the Panerai section, so don't fear if you don't see it! Just ask Ztech. :p)

At this point the real PAM experts should pipe up. Looks good to me though! :)

P.S.: Don't like that strap at all. But then, I neither like SC straps, nor distressed/vintaged ones, so I'm biased.

This OEM Jules Verne strap is much more my speed. That's my mum, BTW, modelling her rep Cartier La Do

  7. Vic, we will definately appreciate you helping her narrow things down a bit. Im a bit out of my element with the Pam's per se, it was hard enough picking my own out.

P4GTR, you know how I'm all over the PAM and ladies' watches threads, but in this case, with 40mm PAMs I am a fish out of water. :( I wouldn't know where to begin, as I never ever considered a 40mm PAM rep, even when I was a newbie.

Joann, take a look at my Wristchecks for the 44mm. I have a 5.7" wrist. 44mms don't look bad, trust me. I'm guessing you're busty but slight (like me). *g*

This is the famous Simona (strapmaker) wearing her 049, which is also a 44mm. NOT BAD. It doesn't overwhelm her wrist at all. Light-coloured straps also help.

    Skyingwithpam49-1.jpg

    What do you say?

If you go with 40mm, I just wouldn't feel right in giving you info.

However, you gots to go with what you feel is right, so enjoy! :)

  8. I'm just going to go ahead and jump in here. :) I'm P4GTR's girlfriend. Hiiiii :) I am proudly the girlfriend he previously posted about a few months ago regarding how I cannot understand this watch obsession....I am now eating my words as I find myself asking more & more questions.

I'm making a new thread that isn't in the Breitling forum.

Hey Joann! Welcome to the forum, and glad you piped up. Sometimes I find it very lonely here, with only Rima (Rek001) as the co-female in the forum.

Hope you can stay a while, and maybe, once you've bought your rep -- post it (them) in the Wristchecks! :)

  9. WEDNESDAY

Here I come! Here I come! With my Wristchecks. :tu:

Today, the Breitling SFSO on my new TC Chardonnay strap!

I think you "agree" chaps got it right. :)

How can anyone doubt that Chardonnay would go with Fish? :p

    THURSDAY

Magagne sold me this wonderful TWB strap for Pix' IWC Porto. I canabalised the old rep buckle.

    iwcportotwbbuckle1dw7.jpg

    Looks great. Merci Magagne! :)

    iwcportotwb1ko2.jpg

If you were to ask me, "Vicky, which guy is SOOO NOT your type?", all I'd do is point you to the chap behind this Wristie. Prince Eurotrash. :yuk:

    iwcportoandreawristie1am0.jpg

    @Dave123: Hey BananaKing!

@Cronsell: Good luck to her! Remember, "No Chip" from Chanel goes a long way. ;)

@PATerai: This is the one all right. Nice to see you here too!

@Lanikai: Gosh, thanks! I agree, the strap is for those a little light in their loafers (NTTTAWT) or ladies. It's just too out there for a Breit. :p

  10. I can understand about the craving part, and I know how it tastes (I've tried it before ;)) but just because we crave something, it doesn't always make it right does it. Hell I bet a lot of men here have 'craved' a woman they saw on the street, but that wouldn't make it right if we just jumped on her in the middle of the street and rocked the bushes

I must say, I will happily endure the flames of Hell, if I can chow down this flame-broiled slab of yumminess.

  11. :lol::rofl::lol::rofl::lol::rofl::lol::rofl::lol:

Man, even when I'm being surprisingly egalitarian, people laugh! :p

I know what you're saying, TeeJay, but how are chavs different from any underclass in Britain, at any time? You think navvies in the 1800s wanted better, or behaved better?

They were all DRUNK from the gin, and found "interesting" means of sustaining their lifestyle (bodysnatching for one, in the case of Burke & Hare, murdering their victims first).

People forget just how bad living in London and the bigger towns in Britain was back then. Garotting and pickpocketting were as common to them, as the wanton cruelty by chavs is today.

But I have been out of England too long. My like of chavs probably has to do with a rosier, homesick view I have, with my old homeland. Even the "bad", isn't that bad. :)

@Pug: Why was the Wee Man wearing one then?
