  1. Handsets seem to be an issue in any of my parts lists lately... Anyone could kindly point me to a nice genuine like 1655 handset for a 21j ? Rafflestime and Yuki have both longer minute hand and shorter GMT hand than the gen ones. Thank you, guys.
  2. @Vinguru can you please post the link for the cartel watch: seems like a good base to start from. Even JJ (RA) says now is better to start a 1675 build using a stock GMT instead of a 1655...
  3. Thank you guys. Always good to know there's someone who covers your back when you need that. @Dlf Would be just exquisite of you, please let me know and... Damn what a tropical PN, stunning piece indeed.
  4. Just bought a nice 6238 Lemania handwind powered. I can't really enjoy my new watch because of those unwatchable fat subdials hands. Any advise on where I can find a proper gen like thin handset ? Thanks in advance.
  5. Gentlemen, is there any good source for a nice thin fonts 1655 bezel out there, other than Phong ? Thank you.
  6. This is the reason why this place is so useful to consult: wonderful posts like this one... Thank you, Kime.
  7. It takes some gutts to get away with those reps in a Lambos & Rolls environment... My respect, Sir.
  8. Feel very sorry for you, fellow countryman. Should you need a real vintage Rolex modder, PM me and I'll gladly get you in contact with the best in Europe.
  9. Very, very sweet. Lord, that insert...
  10. OMG ! This goes just to the core of building watches: making a rep piece looks as close to gen as possible without any gen part... It's almost art.
  11. Top elite build. Those mega fat fonts give the proper flavour to the whole watch.
  12. That's it. It may not be the answer I was looking for but makes perfect sense. Building a proper 6263 is one of the hardest path you may walk on: a DW case or Phong's, a nice gen mov, the right gen dial and bracelet, not to mention all the remaining parts, are extremely hard to find and quite expensive. A 5512 build can save you a couple of hudreds, but would take the same efforts, struggles and time. Homework done, Dieselpower. A non-sarcastic = sincere thank you for your wise reply.
  13. Thank you for your prompt reply. Since I didn't ask the mother of all questions ("Who has the best sub ?"), but something much more specific, I believed that was legit. I fully understand what is stated in item 5 of posting, and didn't want to go against any rule of this forum, which I really appreciate. I've been looking to gen pics for years and I know exactly what I'm looking for, still have so much to learn. That's why I asked for the vintage Rolex experts' help: they could give an objective opinion on these beloved models... Not the best way to introduce myself...
  14. Good evening, after spending a lot of time on the fora and even more looking at the TDs' pics, I need to hear the experts here: who can provide the best "out of the box" 5512 and 6263 ? I already know that every single piece is not good enough just as is, and I know some artists that would build some lovely vintage Rolexes if they only could find some free time in their busy schedules, but if I should buy'n'wear a McQueen 5512 or a Clapton 6263 where could I find some ? Thank you, this place is amazing.
  15. Welcome to the forums Lorenove06 :)
