  4. I see, With so many types of movement and case I couldn't understand how you could make some movement fit any old case.
  5. Was the case you bought made to use the Seagull Unitas clone movement ?
  6. sishac I tried to send you a PM but you don't except PM's, anyways I'm not a pro but I'm very good at fixing watches and if you can't get the movement to work I can take a look at it at no charge if you like ?
  7. No they are not all the same, Some are taller than others because the tall 18kt gold bezels weighs 5.5 grams and the shorter 18kt gold bezels only weigh 5.1 grams, I'm not sure but I think the difference is a 36mm datejust with a acrylic crystal vs the newer sapphire crystal
  8. Yes you have that right and add to that a Parachrom Blu hairspring with a breguet overcoil, I don't think replicating that will happen any time soon.....
  9. Speaking for myself only I'm very much against anyone who makes a watch with the intent to deceive someone in order to sell that someone something that he is not getting in that sale !
  10. It looks more than classy in the pictures so I can only imagine what it looks like in person ! How did this beauty come about, How did you "make" this ?
  11. The hairspring should be flat and run parallel to the balance wheel, As a test of a good terminal curve you should advance the fine adjusting regulator all the way to where the terminal curve starts and the move it all the way towards the to the end of the hairspring and carefully watch the hairspring as you do so, if the hair spring moves around as if being push one way or the other your hair spring has a problem..... There is one thing I see wrong on yours is at the end of the terminal curve, just before the end the hairspring should make a sharp 45 degree bend outwards to the pin and that 2nd bend should look like the 1st bend where the terminal curve starts, Yours does not, it looks like it just sort of tapers out towards the pin, The pin that holds the end of the hairspring is outside of the circle of the hairspring so that's why the hairspring must be bent to go out and meet that pin, if that makes sense..... The hairspring should look like this at the end, see how the 1st and 2nd bends look the same ? That is what you want to see.......
  12. Yes that is normal, That part of the hairspring is called the terminal curve, that moves the portion of the hairspring towards the end away from the rest of the hairspring and that makes room for the fine adjusting regulator cock to advance or retreat, The hairspring goes through the fine adjusting regulator in what is called the index pins. http://raulhorology.com/2012/12/the-mark-of-a-true-watchmaker-forming-hairsprings-part-4-pinning-to-the-stud-final-adjustments/

  17. The first time I disassembled that movement I took a ton of pictures though my stereo microscope and even then I was thinking "what did I get myself into now ! it took a bit of movement assembly and back tracking before I got it all back together again, I've had it apart and back together again several times now and it was much easier each time !
  18. A little wrist time for my 24 hour dialed Accutron 214h....... What are you wearing today ?
  19. I paid $800 dollars for the NOS 3135 movement, Rolex 3135 movements seem to sell for a fairly consistent amount of money on ebay and for what I've seen they almost never go for less than $1,000.00 dollars. I've had no problems fixing some clone movements for a few people and it really depends on what's wrong with the movement and can you source parts needed to fix them or can you find a suitable substitute parts. I know v72 movements inside and out and how to adjust all the dif stop screws and every thing else that they need...... Some of the best money I ever spent was to get the best stereo microscope I could afford, A very good stereo microscope is worth ever penny ! and the next best money was for upgraded "super wide field" eye pieces !
