  1. Tough to consolidate this into a catchy title, but: I picked up a GMT Master II Pepsi on M2M and it's just a little too shiny. I love the look of aged watches, so I thought I'd try cooking the dial and bleaching the bezel insert to tone it down. Inevitably I'll get bored with the watch, because that's my main affliction, and will want to sell it. And so the question- Given the watch is the Master II, would you be less interested in it if it's "vintaged" a bit? Cheers!
  2. Someone is selling one of the gold plated rolexs on the forum.
  3. I decided I'd put money into ripple as it's projected to be the next big one. For me I think, "what would be the max amount I'd be willing to never see again. " I think I'm at $300. If I lose that, I'd be mad but I'd forget it. So worst case I'm mad for a bit, best case it's the next Bitcoin.
  4. They’re having a great deal right now. Those suede straps are $6. I have them sitting in my cart right now. I own a bunch of natos from them. Fine but cheap. Compared to timefactor natos They’re bad, but good on their own. And cheap! By this, I mean seemingly well made but with cheap material. You like the suede ones? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Ofrei has them. I'm not sure if the bezels they have would work, but you can get the pearl too. There are a number of threads on making this fix. I had a DSSD with this same problem, bought the pearl, then never bothered to install haha. It was $15 shipped if I recall. http://www.ofrei.com/page_151.html Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  12. Thanks and no. They look impressive. I have what is almost like a pizza cutter (for leather). It works well but it only cuts straight well. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks! There are improvement to be done, as always. I'm terrible at cutting the rounded tip of the strap. That, and I'm useless at getting from 22mm to 20 for the clasp. But with time I'll get better. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. Picked up this rep from a member and the stock strap was just awful. So what else to do but make a nice one? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah I'm not searching for noobs, just rolexs haha. Too much commitment.

  17. I recommend you buy in the member to member sales from another forum member. I've bought 3 new watches from dealers and 2 had issues. I've never bought a bad one from the forum (find some wood). Go to M2M Sales and just wait. The movement is usually the ETA clone 2836, or sometimes referred to as the A2836. Almost all my reps have this and I've been fortunate with no problems. I've owned the deep sea and it looks like a Rolex. The biggest difference I've seen comparing it side by side to the gen is that the font of the gen is much cleaner. You'd never see that if you didn't have them next to each other. The reality is that I, much like you, agonized over finding the best rep, but nobody cares. I've gotten one compliment on a rep, ever. No one can tell it's a rep - I can't even tell on someone else in passing. In summary, relax, buy a used one, and stop stressing over which is better. But from someone with plenty of feedback, and make the sale as easy as possible. Pay quickly and be polite, and you'll be well on your way to a great experience here.
